JNU, B.Tech + M.Tech, Electronics And Communication Engineering

Remarks

A minimum 97 percentile was required in jee main examination to get a seat in JNU(Open category). We can apply for college via Jose or cab counseling. For Sc or St there will be no tuition fee. But the main drawback of the college was the lack of infrastructure. Apart from that teaching was good and professors were extremely talented.

Course Curriculum Overview

There are two courses available at Jawaharlal Nehru university i.e, Cse and Ece. I got Ece in my final round of counseling. The teachers are well certified from top iits and nits. They are more friendly.

Class Size: 64Course Fees: INR 60000 per year

Internships Opportunities

0.5

There are no internship opportunities in our college i.e, Jawaharlal Nehru university. As our batch was the second one no companies are showing their interest in us. In the future, there will be a chance for more internships.

Placement Experience

2.5

We have a dual degree program here. The first batch has not passed out yet so as of now there is no clarity about placement. Optum, TCS, salesforce, and Hughes have recently visited our college. I am planning to do masters in the United States of America.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are different-different fee structures for different categories depending on the financial situation of their parents. There will be no tuition fee for sc or st students and also for students whose parents' income was below 1 lakh

Campus Life

3.5

The campus was around 1100 acres full of trees. The campus environment was eco-friendly with beautiful nature. It has 9 stared library which contains all the required books. The library contains many reading halls

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel is not up to the mark. They are not the best but ok to stay. Everyone will be provided a table and chair in the room. The food was also not up to the mark as a south Indian I didn't like it in my opinion but ok.

Hostel Fee: INR 3000 per year

How Good B.Tech. from JAMIA MILLIA ISLAMIA is?

Likes

Here in Jamia the faculty is very experienced in their fields , they make you feel Engineering and not to just read books. there teaching methods are amog the top in the nation
the curriculum not just focus on your engineering but also focuses on your personality development.
the infrastructure itself gives you the feel of oldness and the reputation of the college.

Dislikes

one bad thing is its less availability of Hostel rooms .
there is a very strict rule of 75% attendance .

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

I like the infrastructure of my college. College have provided us AC rooms with clean washrooms. Qualified teachers. Maintained decorum. Most important it is a government college.
Smart classes are available in every room. Cantens are available.
There are many labs for every subject either it's of EE, ECE, CSE

Dislikes

New college so there are no societies or clubs.
Fees is too high for general category students.
No facilities of hostel available in our college

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am an Electrical Engineering student. I chose this course because the demand for skilled Electrical Engineers is high leads to job security and also we can keep our options open for other fields by choosing this branch.

The Dream College Life

Likes

The campus is completely different from the whole city, it is more cleaner and is quiet peaceful with various different beautiful views at different points and is not too big so could easily walk through the campus.
Has really great architecture of the buildings and is surrounded by really intelligent people including some over the top profs and some really great minds from the country.
The night life is completely different and is one of the best part of staying in campus.

Dislikes

some of the hostels are quiet old and need renovation.

Placement Experience:

If you study passionately and have decent communication skills and some important competencies, I assure you that you will secure a position in a great company. Here at IIT Delhi, you earn what you work for; you can receive salary packages as high as 2 crores, but some offers start as low as 4 lakhs per annum.

The best campus

I chose this college over other because of very less fee that's some of 200 rs approx and this university having nirf 2 which also make a great change from others. Admission process is first you've to clear cuet then apply for councelling on jnu portal then check result, if you clear the cutoff that you will get the admission letter and the date of admission and on that day you come with the given document in the list and you will get the admission....Read More
