Remarks
To get into B. Tech in JNU we have to appear for JEE mains which is handled by National Testing Agency (NTA) and have to score a good Percentile(90%). Eligibility for JEE mains is a minimum of 65% in 10+2(intermediate). Yes.ST, SC, and PWD candidates avail themselves of reservation benefits by getting a fee waiver in tuition fees not only ST, SC, and Pwd candidates, even the BC and EWS candidates whose income is less than 2 lakhs can avail of reservation benefits. The admission process is satisfactory.
Course Curriculum Overview
Actually, I chose the course in JNU to prepare for the CIVIL Services examination as we have a nice talk about JNU regarding CIVILS. Faculty: student is 1:10(depends on the courses). Every faculty is a Ph.D. scholar. Term exams happen according to the academic calendar and to pass the exams we have to study 2-3hrs per day.
Internships Opportunities
Till now no particular internships were offered on campus but many are availing their internships from off campus which are paying a good stipend to the candidates according to their roles like Machine learning.
Fees and Financial Aid
As for me, we are pursuing a medium-range fee structure as we (Btech students) don't have any opportunities for scholarships on campus. Till now many of my batchmates got internships on campus with a good stipend.
Campus Life
Life in JNU is just amazing as we have a 9-floor library which has a lot of various books and we have got nice practical knowledge as we have good infrastructure. We have Extracurricular activities like Marathon, Debates regarding many social issues, and especially Dj nights. We have many social groups and clubs run by students.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is affordable with a price of (1500/semester) and mess fees are 3000/month so a total of 18k-21k per semester is hostel fees which is affordable...meals are good as we have non-veg thrice a week. The registration process for a hostel is done when we get our offline reporting to campus for admission.
Interview Experience
Preparing for JEE mains and clearing it with good percentile can get you into JNU...And no particular interview... Admission process is just choosing your intrested college in JoSAA counseling portal and checking of your original documents....
