Remarks

Should focus on ranks and talents more rather than management quota seats. It should be more smooth. Admission fees are higher than expected. Scholarships should be there as per the financial conditions of the students.

I choose this course as I like the domain and there is a career opportunity that fulfills my interest. The faculty was good but the student ratio was higher. The qualifications of all faculty members are not up to the mark. Semester and term exams were taken on time.

Class Size: 150Course Fees: INR 120000 per year

Placement Experience

From 7 to Semester students are eligible for placements. Various reputed companies visited and around 200+ job offers were made to candidates. Cipla, Caplet, Nestle, Cognizant, Alembic, Fresenius Kabi, Pulsus, and Wipro visited our college to give placement on campus. I joined Cognizant after getting my degree

Fees and Financial Aid

The overall fee structure is a little bit higher. For completion of 4year B.Pharm course, approximately 500000 Lakh is required, which is decided as per university rule. There is also the opportunity to avail of various scholarships like 2000 per month according to rank holders in WBJEE.

Campus Life

The College campus is really big. Classroom amenities were good. Sports and cultural functions like college fests were too good and very often. Cactus bands, The Local train bands, etc came into our college fests.

Gitanjali college also gives adequate placements opportunities. Opportunities comes from many sectors. Appolo, Med plus etc. are common and easy opportunities. Beside them Mainly Production companies like Macloids, Sun Pharma etc also conducts interview for their production units every year. Interviews are arranged for 4th year students only. My plan is to continue my higher studies.

I have applied for institute of genetic engineering for the same course BSc genetics but I to admission in Guru Nanak institute of pharmaceutical sciences because they are the only other colleges in West Bengal who provides BSc genetics as their course and I choose this college because this is under GIS group and this is well known in West Bengal. I did not get any rejection from the other colleges I applied.
