Course Curriculum Overview

3

I chose this course as I grew up in a family of doctors and it was always my plan to pursue Mbbs. The faculty I would say like every college has the great ones and the not-so-great ones. The faculty: student ratio is high, but it all comes down to the quality of teaching. And which is okay as compared to govt. Colleges. Final Exams and at the end of each year, with question paper being set by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. It is considered a very difficult exam to pass among medical universities in India. And 3 internal exams are conducted every year by the college itself.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees were affordable previously, but there has been a tremendous fee hike, as told by the new incoming students. This is because the college has been converted to a Deemed to be University. No scholarships are provided by the college. But eligible students can apply for various scholarships provided by the government. Sadly No stipend is given to interns by the college, even though they are supposed to. Not a single rupee.

Campus Life

2.5

College fests are nice, but it depends on the mood of the management, whether the fest is to be held or not. Classrooms are spacious, air-conditioned, and teaching with a projector and mic system. Well coming to sports, there is a very well maintained cricket ground, which unfortunately is not allowed for the students (only for renting out). Football and basketball courts are okay. There is a gym and swimming pool though, separate for boys and girls.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

The hostel is okay I would say. But for the hostel fee paid, a lot can be improved, especially the food. Rooms are provided sharing or single accommodation, though both rooms are the same size and are single rooms. Regular cleaning staff available and laundry service with extra payment.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very comprehensive and relevant for exams but not for real world applications. I feel let the parts of body I was specially fascinating so I like anatomy very much and we also got a very good teacher, the curriculum is very good for examinations however the real wall applications of this curriculum is very little, they should be more real life applications and whatever the latest technology than studies are happening the student should get the latest info about them, timing between two exams in an internal semester should be a little more such as a day or two because we do not get time to prepare the subjects curriculum very well for the examination.

There is no such improvement is required. We don't have to give soo much exam but the syllabus we have to cover its not much

Same curriculum as the NMC is followed . In the beginning ears there wont be much exposure clinically like any other hospitals later on in 3rd amd 4th year there is more clinical exposure and patient interaction. According to me the exam level of 1st year is a bit tough as it is a changing phase from 12th to college and everything is new later on we get adjusted and find it easy and will understand how to phase the exam and how it is different from the previous exams of 11th or 12th . Only one exam will be for a academic year which includes the whole syllabus of that year
