Remarks

The college management is par-excellence. However, the teaching faculty could be improved. Recently the strength of the college got increased and students are facing problems of not having quality teachers. The teachers could be improved.

Entrance Preview

I took Common Law Entrance Test(CLAT) 2015 to get admission into this university. I scored a sum total of 93.5/200, with having secured an AIR of 729. I opted for RGNUL because of the impeccable placements record of the university.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is very intelligently designed. The university provides for majors in Political Science, Sociology and Economics. Every major subject is combined with 2 minor subjects which the student need to study for 3 years. Apart from these subjects, every semester has a new legal subject which gives a deep insight into the legal concepts of the subject.

Internships Opportunities

The college has a dedicated internship cell which issues recommendation letters for the students. It has a huge database of internships with various NGOs, Advocates, Judges and Law Firms. The college also has various centres for study where students can undertake their internships. The students of RGNUL have been able to successfuly acquire internships at some big national and international law firms.

Placement Experience

4

The placement record has been decent over the years and the graph is steadily rising. The college has been established recently and the alumni base is increasing every year. Big law firms like Amarchand and Mangaldas, Khaitan & Co. etc visit the campus and the average package each year ranges between 10-12 Lakhs. p.a.

College Events

4

We have a cultural fest named Dakshini where students dress up in their traditional dresses. We also have Halloween nights. The cultural committee is very enthusiastic and active in organising the cultural fests. We also have random flash-mobs all through the month to keep the enthusiasm high.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure all accorss the National Law Universities is standardised and ranges anywhere between 1.8L-2.2L p.a. Studying at RGNUL costs around 2.1L p.a. The college provides for scholarships for economically weak students and also has a provision of free books for people belonging to the reserved classes.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college provides for scholarships for economically weak students and also has a provision of free books for people belonging to the reserved classes.

Campus Life

5

The college is situated 10Kms away from the main city. It is besieged by lush green gardens. The atmosphere in the campus is very peaceful. The gender ratio is 2:1. The college regularly organises debate and MUN competitions. We also have an annual Sports Fest. The college also participates in cultural and sports fest organised by other colleges.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel very well co-ordinated. The rooms are clean, fitted with ACs running 24Hrs. The college provides hostels to all the students admitted into a course. The mess food is not very good or tasty but is decent as expected. The college has a mess-committee which students can approach in case they have any problems with the mess food.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni base of this college is steadily growing. The alumnis of this college are really helpful. Law is such a vast field with having various opportunities. The alumnis of RGNUL are engaged in various jobs. Some have cleared judiciary, some are practicing lawyers and some are into national or international law firms. All the alumnis are helpful in guiding their juniors.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is very strict and a student is kept busy almost the whole semester. There are projects, vivas, mid terminals and end terminals. The student is required to pass all the examinations in order to qualify to be promoted to the next semester.

Admission

After the merit list of CLAT was out, the students are required to fill out the college preference list. According to the preference list, the students are allotted their universities. A date is then given to report to the university to carry on with the admission procedure. On the day of the reporting to the university, the details of the student are verified and all the necessary documents are cross-checked. After that, a brief interview session is held with the Registrar of the university.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty of the college is upto the mark. All of the faculties are well qualified. The students are required to fill a Faculty Assessment form at the end of each semester. They can give their feedbacks or reviews regarding a particular teacher or subject and the committee makes sure to work upon the said reviews.
