Remarks

It basically depends on your merit. If your marks are good on the 12th you will select easily. And your minimum mark is 60% and above. If you are selected on the merit list you will be able to counselling.

I chose physics because I love the subject. And the faculty is very good in the physics department. all faculty member is highly educated they teach you very well and selection is based on a merit list so no need to appear in any exam.

the fee structure is less than any college because it's a government-under college and you get a scholarship if you belong to any reserved candidate. After the course is completed you can apply for higher studies at any university.

overall campus life is very nice. All the books you need you have easy access through the library and you can play field games like cricket football etc. The hall room is here you can use it for multitasking.

The curriculum in this college is uoto date, very relevant and with at par with the real world scenario, we learn about disorders, different schools of psychology and a lot more. There is a perfect balance of practical and theory, which is needed in psychology. In terms of improvement, there is always room for it, as of now there arent any suggestions from my side. The frequency of exams are fine, they give us time to prepare however I feel like as, according to the NEP, the semesters should be 6 months long but here they are cutting it short.

Hooghly Mohsin College - Geology Department

You've to pass the 12th Examination with a science background and the marks you've got in the 10th Examination in Geography are also needed for preparing the merit list. Every year after the announcement of the State Board result college issues a notice for new admission and you can find it on the college website. It's a govt college so the fees structure for each and every course is very low.
