Remarks

I came in via COMED-K and the admission process was quite simple, for kcet the general cut-off was around 6K by the end of the third round for ISE and 4K for CSE. I had the Hyderabad Karnataka region quota through which I reserved my seat. The staff at the admin block of the college specified all necessary documents and they called us themselves to get certain required documents prior. There was no chaos that I felt. For getting in via management quota u can directly contact the college via their email on their official website.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The teachers here are qualified and well experienced. The HOD of the ISE dept is interactive and helpful. We have 2 faculties teaching for certain subs where the labs and theory are taken by diff teachers. The MSEs our monthly exams we write which are considered for the internals and the seams are further conducted. The teachers here are quite friendly and supportive.

Internships Opportunities

4

The internships are provided by the college in the 4th sem The college takes each department for industrial visits I'm still in first year so I still have to get to know about the internships provided will update you if I get to know

Placement Experience

4.5

The placements are quite good for CSE and ISE also the ECE branch. IDK abt other branches that much Amazon, Infosys, Microsoft, echo, and even global companies have visited the college for placement. I heard from my seniors that the placement and job interview training starts from 3rd year and by end of 6th semester the placements start

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees via govt seat or the CET's we write cots around 84k per annum. Through COMED-K it would cost you 2.4lakhs. Jobs and placement cell is active here, the training session begins by 3rd year and placements start by the end of it and start of 4th year.

Campus Life

4.5

ANAADYANTA is the annual techno-cultural fest of NMIT. This fest gathers a huge no of students from all engineering colleges. Celebrities like Armaan Malik, and Neha Kakkar, and have already performed. The fest goes on for basically 3 days including cultural programs, fashion shows, tech events, sports, and many fun games. The fest is usually conducted in March. But this year due to covid and some situations it happened in May. The campus life is peaceful, you don't have a very very huge campus and a great infra but to put it in words the infra is decent. The classrooms are well ventilated with projectors. Basketball court, football ground, volleyball court, and gym for the students are there. Each dept has its event coming in months like the EEE, CSE people, and all other branches have their events. Clubs like ART club, Literary club, Goonj (theatre club), sangars (dance club), etc., are the student clubs managed by them with the seniors taking up the initiative to lead.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostel availability is a bit less for girls, cause I had some of my friends who had to search for pgs nearby cause the hostel rooms were filled. The hostel costs around 1,20,000 including mess bills per year For the first-year girls, the hostels are 2 or 3 sharing (depending on ur convenience and availability. the first year rooms are good(they have renovated the rooms) we have our study table with attached wardrobes and table lamps. The washrooms are common, one wing has 2 washrooms. Recently washing machines have been installed and we have hot water facility by both geyser and solar taps. drinking water is available on each floor. The mess of food is okayish u can adjust. The breakfasts taste better than lunch. u get egg/paneer on Wednesday says and nonveg and some special thingy on Sundays sweets and fruits are included in between. Snacks are provided in the evening (noodles, pav bhaji, etc)

Other Applied Colleges

RNSIT | ISE

RNSIT is VTU affiliated and also the hostel facilities were not up to my expectations

Placement Experience:

The placement cell is very active in our college. Every year more than 30+ companies come to our college for recruitment . Our seniors from 7th semester get placed in many companies and before getting placed in the company our college offers internships to every student. Around 80 % of the students get placed in companies and work efficiently. The average package for civil engineering is 2.5 lakh per annum.

Placement Experience:

RIT's placement scenario is very good, even for the most unpopular branches such as Civil Engineering. Starting from the 7th semester, students are allowed to participate in campus recruitment, and companies come to the campus for the entire final year. The major recruiting companies are L&T Construction, Shapoorji Pallonji, Brigade Group, Sobha Developers, Atkins, PWD, and Infosys for the non-core sector. Civil students on an average get ?5–6 LPA as salary, and the highest offer is usually in the range of ?12–15 LPA, depending on the company and the position. Almost 70–80% of Civil students are placed, while some of them go for higher studies or government examination.Site engineer, design engineer, planning engineer, survey engineer, and trainee engineer are the core positions that are offered. Also, non-traditional roles in IT and consulting can be taken up by those who are not interested in core engineering profiles.I will first acquire some work experience in the industry after completing my degree and then will pursue a master's degree in structural engineering to gain further specialization.

Students become elegible for placements from 7th sem onwards but we are encouraged to do internship before final itself. Most of the companies that come here aren't t1 or even t2. Highest probably would be 12L only if the student is exceptional but most would secure a package 4-6. And the percentage of students getting placed is <50%
