Remarks

To be eligible for this course, we have to complete intermediate in BiPC with a minimum grade of 75%. To apply for this course, we have to go to the college and collect the application form and fill it in. We have to attach the following: inter-marks memo Xerox, Aadhar Xerox, and study certificates Xerox with the application form. There was only an offline process. The application fee is 100 Rs. The college will inform you on counselling day. You have to go to college on counselling day and, according to your inter marks, you get the admission. After confirming our admission, we have to submit the original marks memo, Tc, and study certificates. In this college we have reservation benefits for SC, ST, and OBC castes.

I chose this course because it is related to operation theatre. In this college we have good faculty. For 10 students, we have 1 teacher. The qualifications of the faculty were PG anesthesia and MBBS. The teaching is very good. We have digital classes and practical classes. We have weekly tests. If we attend classes regularly, we can pass the exams easily.

Internships Opportunities

After completing the course, we have to do a 1-year internship. We get 11,000 RS per month in the internship period. We don't have a place in our college. We can easily get jobs if we study at this college because it is one of the best medical colleges in Telangana.

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost of study in this college is very low. I have to pay 6000 Rs per year. My course is 2 years long. I have to pay 12000 Rs for my course. The government provides free scholarships. We get a stipend per year of 30,000 RS.

Campus Life

We have an annual fest in our college at the beginning of the academic year in the month of November. We have a library, a gym, a playing ground, labs, and computer labs. We have a free hostel facility for girls. We have ac class rooms. We have projectors in classrooms. Every day, we play games.

Hostel Facilities

For boys, we don't have campus hotels; campus hostels are provided only for girls. I stay in a private hostel which costs Rs. 4000 per month. The hostel is near my college. For girls, they get a campus hostel with their admission. The hostel admission is only given to non-locals.

Golden days era

Likes

The faculty, ambience, facilities were good.The knowledge shared was great
Faculty was very patient and approcheable
The college environment was good at opportunities ,events , and social interactions

Dislikes

Many changes required within the lab facilities and shortage of lab equipments as well
Placement support was good but the salries offered by the employers was not satisfactory.
More practical knowledge related activities to be implemented

Course Curriculum Overview:

Pharmacy was the best option for Bipc students apart from MBBS. My main aim was MBBS,but unfortunaley i couldn't get it. Retail pharma, industrial, clinical had a huge scope which made me to opt for Bachelor of Pharmacy. Curriculum needs more practical knowledge to prove within the real time market. Improvement was much needed with research based programs as it was the major core area for pharma aspirants. Frequency betwween internal and external exams were too short.

Likes

The college focuses more on academic excellence so if you really want to focus on studies it's best
Campus life is enjoyable , very green and have events. Students get opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities, which helps in building confidence
The faculty members are knowledgeable and very supportive. They will guide you for the future path and your life decisions

Dislikes

Mostly focus is on academics and extracurricular activities are very less
The placement opportunities are very less . They pay very less
The girls ratio is 60 and boys ratio is 40.

Placement Experience:

From 4-2 the students become eligible for college placement No of companies visites for placement are many and that includes Cipla,Sun Pharma, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Sometimes it is 100% placement for few companies and for some it is 3-4 students My plans include doing m pharma

Had a great college life

Likes

Campus environment and facilities are better and easily adoptable
Faculty quality is very high and available for all sections of students
Lab facilities, sports, NCC and NSS camps

Dislikes

Classroom furniture, old buildings and considering other colleges in the town its quite better

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester students get eligible for different placement offers and many MNC's and corporate companies offered placements . Average package known to my knowledge is in between 3-4 LPA and almost 70% of eligible students who attended placements were placed in different campanies .

Likes

Things I liked in my college is freedom its not too strict students have the freedom to explore and learn, there is no place for partiality.
The staff in college is extraordinary crystal clear concepts will be delivered to students.
The environment of college is quite peaceful to learn and its neither too far or too near to the main city making it accesible to students.

Dislikes

The main problem I have encountered is food theres a routine schedule in mess which bores students and they end up ordering food from outside

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum of the college is extraordinary it prepares us for the real world difficulties. The hospital provides us with lot of expousre we learn to deal with them. The frequency of exams is apt for students enabling us finish and portion and learn thoroughly.

Likes

The college environment is so pleasant and proper.
The ground here is the biggest in the whole state. CCC. CNN Bb. CC. By no.
Faculty is so supportive and the Principal here gives you freedom to do the things you love. Bb. By CC BB.

Dislikes

There is no much thing that I disliked here..as of now.. be v ci ci Cc. C
Boys hostel facilities like warm water..clothes washing is a difficult one. Bb CC CV by. BB. Bb v. Va be.
Have fun in the college..do not leave your days which are once gone..you can’t have them back.

MBBS is a great subject to deal about in the life... it helps in the overall development of the student in terms of medicine and medications. This college has many hospitals affiliated to itself helping the students in terms of the experience and control.

The faculty of the college is quite good
The college is in the middle of city which helps a lot
There is compulsion for 75℅ attendance and the college is open gate

Dislikes

Infrastructure is very poor.. Buildings and classrooms, benches, and computers used are very old
No sports and other extra-curricular activites and no provision for canteen
Campus is very boring.. Toilets are not clean.. The admin staff is very rude

Placement Experience:

Placement cell is least active.. Few good companies like Infosys, amazon, TCS etc visited but the average package is of 1-2 LPA and only 25-30% of students whose all exams are cleared can sit in the placement cell. The highest package is of 8LPA. My plan is to move abroad for higher studies.. The students after completion of 6th sem can sit in placement cell

I really like the infrastructure of my college. Although it's established is 1995 the infrastructure is still pretty good with a huge campus of about 100 acres with good area dedicated to nature as well along with good classrooms and neat washrooms
I really like the faculty that teaches in my college. They are well educated and well spoken. I like their teaching methods too
I really like the course curriculum of my college. It's very flexible and simple. It makes our lives easier and makes the learning process simple as well

Dislikes

I don't like the location of the campus . It's in outskirts and very far from the main city
I don't like the concept of dress code everyday . I think out of 5 working days atleast 2 days should be allowed for civil dress
I don't like it's holiday system. It doesn't give holidays on optional ones declared by the government

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible from semester 6 to get placed I guess I'm not sure . Hp, Hul, Deloitte etc are the companies that come in. Highest package is around 58 lakhs after doing mba and the average package is around 10.5 to 11 lakhs. 95% of the students get placed. My plan after getting the degree is work for a couple of years maybe.

Nice college but lot of improvements are required

The faculties are highly knowledgeable, understandable and are helpful in studies and they even mentor us in some important aspects.
Course curriculum is perfectly designed to prepare for any competitive exams that a student may be appearing.
There is not much academic pressure on students. They have ample of time to prepare for any competitive exams.

Dislikes

Management by the college and the faculties are not good
There are not much companies visiting campus. Majority of them are either for non-technical roles or are mass recruiters.
Campus crowd is not good for growth for any serious student.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams

Expectations and the experience!

Likes

First thing is here,In our college there are very strict rules.
Discipline is considered first here in CAIMS.
The faculty is very serious about studies.

Dislikes

I don't like the food in mess , the food is not worth the fee in my opinion.
We don't have many parties or any celebrations,we only have fest and DGM once in a year.
There were no outings every week ,we have to take permission every time we go home.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen this course as I dreamt of becoming a doctor since I was a child. In our college, the faculty is good and are qualified enough. They teach the basic things and make us learn things in a clear way. There will be two internal exams, one prefinal exam in every year. Those with an average of 50% in internal exams are allowed to write the final exams. There is quite a difficulty in passing the final exam as there is a vast syllabus.

Life at Kakatiya Medical College

I had applied for a number of medical colleges in Telangana on state merit based on NEET UG 2020. The college's I didn't get selected into are Gandhi Medical College, Osmania Medical College. My third choice was Kakatiya Medical College, as it is the third best in the state. I didn't get selected based on my marks in the previous 2 colleges. The only exam accepted to get into the course is neet ug. You select your order of preference of colleges and they match you based on that order based on your marks. You can only get confirmation from one college unless you're upgraded in the next round if there is a vacancy. I had gotten kamineni lb nagar in my previous round and I chose this because its a government college and there is a lot of clinical exposure to patients. I did not get into any all india quota colleges as I did not have enlugh marks. The councelling happens based on the rank you obtain. The top rankers are matched first and then they move down the ranks so you cannot get inti a college if all the seats are filled up. Theres about 90,000 seats in india and 17 lakh people writing the exam with that number increasing every year so the seats are all filled up within the first two lakhs and the course is very demanding. The admission process is all online so it is rather convinient. You just have to keep checking the dates and deadlines and apply and it'll take a while for you to get your result. Once you have that you will have ti go and submit all the relevant documents physically in the college and there will be a medical test where they evaluate your eyesight and take your urine samples etc etc and check for any medical conditions. And then the admission process is finished after you pay the fees or 15000. You can also opt for the hostel at the same time which is charged saperately. kmc warangal - is your dream college ?

this college is close to my home town and its just 3 hours away so there is no such thing as homesickness, and it has got a history of 100 years and huge patient exposure , due to this even if i got admission in kamineni medical college n apollo institute of medical sciences , i chose kakatiya medical college.i got rejection from gandhi and osmania medical college due to unavailable seats for my category .my college takes admission through NEET exam which is highly competitive exam , the cutoff goes very high some times when the paper is easy, so if worked hard enough it is easy to get into a medical college...Read More
