Course Curriculum Overview

5

Being a doctor is a very respectful and responsible profession. One deserves the respect after all the years of hardwork. It's not an easy course, it requires many sacrifices and a lot more hardwork day and night. 5 yrs of undergraduation and another 3 yrs of postgraduation. With another 2 years of super-speciality. That is 10 years of one's life. We are dedicated towards patients care and wellbeing. We have a separate thing called "AETCOM" for us to learn the real world applications and hospital postings to have patient doctor interactions.

Internships Opportunities

5

Internship is mandatory rotational in all the departments of medicine - Medicine, Surgery, Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Dermatology, Anesthesia, Psychiatry and more. Stipend of 25,000 is given permission month. We're posted in the afflied hospitals with our college named: 1. Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Hospital 2. CKM hospital 3. Regional Eye Hospital 4. Govt Maternity Hospital 5. TB and Chest Diseases hospital

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly college fee is 10,250. It hasn't increased in the past 5 years. But the at the time of admission, one is required to pay about 30,000 that includes the tuition fee, registration fee, admission fee, development fee, library fee. That is a one time payment in the form of draft written for college. The admission fee for SC/ST is considerably low around 20,000 or even less. College by themselves do not offer any scholarship but students are free to apply for scholarships from govt or other pvt institutions.

Campus Life

5

We have various clubs for the benefit of society, that spread awareness in rural areas about medical conditions. We have our college annual fest Uthkarsha which is a 10 days fest including culturals, sports, carnival nights, dandiya night, short film festival, DJ nights and many more. The college completely changed for those 10 days, and everyone including the faculty enjoys the fest. Other than that we have KRITI, this one includes paper presentation, symposium, case presentation, poster presentations and a lot more in the field of medicine. Here the NRI alumnis come and encourage young minds towards the career. Our classes are projector based and teaching is through ppts.

Hostel Facilities

4

Initially, the students are alloted 4 per room which gradually goes down to 2 people per room while we more forward in the course, about in 3rd and 4th year. Rooms are equipped with a fan, tubelights, cupboards, one study table and chair each. Food is very good, includes all the south indian food and veg nonveg options are available. On Sundays there's a sweet dish too. Registration is done on the first day of college. It's alloted on first come and first serve basis. Locality for renting a room or pg is good, there are buildings and independent houses available.

Admission

I had applied for a number of medical colleges in Telangana on state merit based on NEET UG 2020. The college's I didn't get selected into are Gandhi Medical College, Osmania Medical College. My third choice was Kakatiya Medical College, as it is the third best in the state. I didn't get selected based on my marks in the previous 2 colleges. Kakatiya Medical College is a govt medical College which is easy on fee and gives a lot more patient exposure than what a private college can give.

Faculty

5

The faculty to student ratio is very good as every subject has approximately 10 teachers and we have about 5 subjects. So that is not going to be any issue. I wouldn't like to name my faculties here but many of them are very helpful, some may even help you for writing papers and research stuff. There are 3 internals and 1 prefinal exam. They are easy if one has studied well. It's not easy to score 80-90%

Night Life

3

We have college canteen open at night with variety of food offered. Our college has a gym too Library is central and available to everyone but is open till 9pm only. Although individual hostels have reading rooms open 24 hrs. Situated in warangal, there are many hangout places and still coming up. Fun place to hangout with friends

Course Curriculum Overview:

The fact that this course provides you a very dignitorial position in society attracts me the most into it. The financial benefits are also quite impressive. The curriculum extending for 5.5 years provides you all the required knowledge to practice as a general doctor in the country. There is a total of 19 subjects for 4.5 years in total. 1 year rotatory internship in various clinical department in affiliated hospital gives you very good clinical exposure also. The internship here is stipended by ?26000-/- per month. Every year mcc is renewing the syllabus according to to demands of indian medical system. Frequency of exams are quite adjustable upto rth year. 4th year is quite hectic and tiring with syllabus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is PRETTY big. Its really big, actually. Sometimes its hard to handle, because of its bulk, some of it is relevant some of it is not, in the clinical applications but you have to study that to jncrease your knowledge, while the exams are focused on a few important topics out of the curriculum, thoee topics are meant to be focused on, more as they carry more clinical importance than the others.
