Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

the curriculum is so practical and there is a lot of real talk with the patients so we kinof improve our communication skills, knowledge and get the idea of real life circumstances that give us a reality check.the area of improvement must be needed while doing the posting and dissection study because not all the students can be able to see and hear because only 1 faculty is present while doing case studies.i think more weekly exams are needed so that we can be prepared for further coming entrance exams and prevent pre exam stress.

Internships Opportunities

3

imternship of 1 year is mandatory after finishing 4 years of mbbs course , the stipend is given around 25-27 k per month which is far better than other medical colleges, the work load is quite more with irregular sleeping schedules and food habits.

Fees and Financial Aid

the yearly fee ive been paying since my 1 year is about 10,000 which is basically my tuition fee, apart from that we have caution deposit of 15000 rs which is non refundable , registration fee includes advance payment of yearly fee plus 500 rs for xerox work. there is no such thing specially like lab or development fee , but records cost goes around 5000 per year . scholarships and bank loans are easily given ., sc st students get benefit as they have less regostration fee compared to general .

Campus Life

3.5

the annual event is called uthkarsha, and other research events like kriti and sports meet are very grandly conducted, genrally all these events are held with 2 months in between each, the library has number of academic and research books, classes are highly advanced with smart class and good teaching faculty, sports like cricket, basketball, volleyball, throwballa, football are played enthusiastically by students and given coaching here.student groups like juda ensure rights of students and facilities they are given

Hostel Facilities

3.5

the rooms are good ventilated , 3 cupboards are present, 2 beds are given , study chairs and tables are given. meal quality is okayish as compared to other colleges, menu includes rice , dal , curries of all vegetables, non veg anemd veg both are given here.hostel is affordable with around 1200 rs of maintainance fee per month including rent, electricity bills.and registration into hostel needs admission form of college.

Admission

this college is close to my home town and its just 3 hours away so there is no such thing as homesickness, and it has got a history of 100 years and huge patient exposure , due to this even if i got admission in kamineni medical college n apollo institute of medical sciences , i chose kakatiya medical college.i got rejection from gandhi and osmania medical college due to unavailable seats for my category .my college takes admission through NEET exam which is highly competitive exam , the cutoff goes very high some times when the paper is easy, so if worked hard enough it is easy to get into a medical college

Faculty

4

faculty to student ratio is around 1:50, faculty is approachable easily during classes, but during postimgs and practicals it becomes a bit hard to reach. i remember Dr. shashikantha mam proffesor of anatomy from my first year, she has a unique way of teaching and making concepts crisp and clear.there is no faculty that i didnt like , so yeah the faculty here is experienced and well trained. yearly we have one final exam , 2 internals and a prefinal , which can be easily passed if studied a month before.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is made according to our ability to grasp when we come out of our board exams. The first year might be considered a little touch but it in general is quite different and I personally enjoy studying it . Exams are a bit stressful but if a person has already studied then the tension gets distributed and it feels like nothing.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The aspects of the curriculum thatade me choose this course is its vastness of knowledge about various aspects of human body, and how to treat the abnormalities that arise in the human body. And also my own willingness to treat the affected part of society. The curriculum, so far, makes us well prepared for facing the patients and helping them out with their problems. Improvement can be done in provision of proper equipment for the doctors and also provision of proper amount of doctors in the hospital to prevent overworking of present people. The exams held quite frequently, have been helpful and have been difficult but help us in finals. The timing too is good enough.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Kamineni medical college deal with competency based learning curriculum where they help us prepare since the beginning of the course all the vital habits that are required to grow in our field, medical field deals with patients and their problems which requires a lot of knowledge, patience, and guts. And doctor are equivalent to god's who holds an immense power to safe a life which motivated me towards my goal. In our curriculum we have Atecom module where they teach us ethics and attitude which help us to deal with our patients in our future, in this module they teach us empathy, sympathy, doctor patient relationship and few legal laws. And all these will develop our personality and help us be a good doctor for the society and coming to exams we have 3 internal exam along with practicals and a prefinal before final exams, and in between we have part completion test which help us track our performance. And ofcourse all the medical exams are difficult and require lot of hard work.
