A brief review for NIT kurukshetra

Eligibility for the course is you can take admission through JEE mains exam and then after JOSSA counselling and then u will have to fill choices of colleges according to your preferences then JOSAA will release the cutoffs . I choose this course as it is a good NIT in northern region it is nearby to my home as well as NIT Kurukshetra has its own prestige. Faculty: student ratio is not so high there as 1000 students every year take admission including all the branches. CSE + IT itself have 400 students Faculties were highly qualified. Terms exams are twice per semester and one end semester exam is there .. Some subjects are tough here to pass in CSE curriculum.

In sixth semester students have to do internship or do project work under a professor in SIMMONS center of excellence which is present in the college. Various tech companies like G-Sock, Microsoft in the college provide internship at stipend more than 1 lac .

Almost 90% of the eligible students of computer department gets placed. Average package for CSE-IT is 15-16 lakhs per annum and highest package in 2020 is 43.71 lac per annum and including all the branches average package is up to 8 lacs . Companies like flipkart, Amazon, UBER, Microsoft, Maruti Suzuki, Ford motors, Capgemini, several tech companies etc.

Tuition fees including several academic fees is 70-80k per semester . Mess fees is 35 k per semester and hostel seat rent is 5k-7k . for income less than 1 lakh there are exempted from tuition fees and for 1-5 lakh per annum they were exempted from 2/3 fees and for SC-STs they were completely exempted from tuition fees and various scholarships from central govt and state govt are there to provide the financial assistance.

Annual fest is CONFLUENCE there and main technical fest is TECHSPARDHA and in April it is conducted by various clubs . Plenty amount of books are there in the library one can go and read there and can issue the book for some days then he /she will have to return the book after the issue period. There is a sport's complex in which there is a gym and almost all the outdoor games are there except table tennis . College Life was not up to the mark on my expectations.

Hostel seat rent is 5-7 k per semester. In first year u get the worst hostel H1,H2,H3 in which there are triple seater rooms and these hostels are same as it is when the college is created No renovation ,LAN connection is provided in the room, balcony is there and small small 3 almirah is there in the room . Meal is ok not up to the mark and menu is set by the mess committee which is made by students.. Mess fees is 30-35 k per semester.
