SIT REVIEW

I only opted for SIT as it was the time of pandemic. It was an only nearby option for me because compared to other government colleges offering BBA it would be far better. There was no such problem in taking admission there. The only thing i needed to do was depositing an advanced amount of Rs. 20,000 which they call it as a seat booking fee. But no worries this amount will be deducted from the total admission fee. The only criteria for taking admission in SIT is that you must pass every subject in your class 12th. There was no counselling date as such i was only called one day and the counsellor attended me and my parents there and just discussed the process for taking admission and about SIT's curriculum.

I chose this course firstly because i was from commerce background also I had Keen interest in management studies so i decided to continue with BBA. The faculty student ratio is quite appropriate. They also provide interactive and friendly environment for the students to have good discussions with them. Teachers are well qualified and the style of teaching is quite good. University exams occur on time and the difficulty level is moderate.

Internship is offered by companies like Pantaloons and Spencer's for working as a salesman there for about 2 to 3 months. The stipend offered is very mere and sometimes it is non paid also. Students can find the internships on their own and can carry on with that.

From the sixth semester the placement starts but very few opportunities are available for the BBA department. Companies like Extra marks, HDFC Banks visit the college. The average package offered is 3 to 4 lakhs per annum. The best option after completing BBA is to opt for MBA from a highly reputed college.

The fee amount that will be charged at the time of admission will be Rs.54,000/-(includes first semester fee) after which each semester is charged with a fee of Rs.32,000/-. No scholarships are offered from the college side as such. Internships will be offered to you in the last semester which will be in town and mostly will be non-paid.

The annual fest is conducted in the month of May which is of two days. The first day is on campus fest which includes all the cultural events and prize distribution. The second day is for the band concert which happens at any appropriate place within the town. Recently it was held at Mayfair Resort. In the month of April all the sports activities and matches are held continuosly for 3 to 4 days. This includes basketball, volleyball, football, sprints, etc. and also indoor games are conducted. Other colleges are also invited to take part in. Various social groups and clubs are run by the students in which various social activities are performed like gardening or visiting the nearby village and providing basic education to the poor Childrens out there.
