Remarks

This is a good college. Not tier-1 if you are looking at that but adecent college which will surely put you at some or the other job and has great exposure!

Entrance Preview

Wrote AIEEE and scored AIR 44060 Did not clear JEE. The exam had fewer institutes back then Wrote these in 2010. At that point we had multiple entrance exams.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The college has great course and curriculum, Good teachers and nice place to learn and grow. if you put effort you can get the best. But you will have to do some effort on your own as crowd is not very enthusiastic. If you can do that then great. please go ahead and join this college

Internships Opportunities

No, the college does not provide internship. You are supposed to look it up on your own. They will help you get a reference letter from college but not paid internships.

Placement Experience

5

GREAT! this is the best part. the college has a very diligent placement cell. They have amazing placements. I don't have the stats but we had plethora of opportunities to get ourselves placed. Average package should be around 4, and mind you the brand names are real big. Like deloitte!!

College Events

3

College fest. there are techinical and cultural fest that is organsied on periodic basis. people have plenty opportunities. there is dance and lots of other activities. also we get invitations from IIT Ropar and other good colleges to articipate in fest. in my batch people went to iit kanpur to present their project.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees is very feasible. The placements are awesome so the fees will not hurt. it is easy and cheap. hostels also available. there are great facilitie. people are friendly at admin office. they give great guidance. very helpful. very nice. good people and good college

Fees and Financial Aid

I am not aware of anything as such, but you can call the admin department. you can call and check with them. they are very helpful.

Campus Life

5

Amazing diversity people from abroad as well. competitions and workshops are organized. there is great facility. and lots of competitions are organized. Gender ration is fine not too skewed. there is lots of fun on campus and great harmony. people are welcoming

Hostel Facilities

5

Mess is the best you can imagine. usually mess food is frowned upon but here you get such great food that you will probably never miss your mom's food. The employees are very friendly and are avialable 24x7. You can have a meal at your tour visit and judge yourself. wardens are great.

Alumni/Alumna

They keep in touch with alumni. They reach out every once in a while and if you need help they will always be there.

Exam Structure

Every three months we have exams. 2 semesters in 1 year and you do have 3 sessionals. I don't know if the pattern has changed now, but when i was there, this was the system. Standard tests. Finals checked by university and sessionals locally by teachers.

Admission

Applied through my AIEEE rank. You can get through Punjab CET as well, if that exists. When i was getting admission we had various state entrance tests. But I had not written any. Just wrote aieee. Got a good rank. Applied and got the best stream ECE, back then. Now CSE is better.

Faculty

3.5

Awesome faculty. Can go and discuss at length about them. Only problem is that the whole cult is punjabi and you might feel a little out of place if you're from outside punjab. but they communicate in english only so it will not be a barrier. You have to be your own boss and take ownership of your issues and doubts.

Placement Experience:

Students start becoming eligible for campus placements from the sixth semester, and that’s when most training sessions for aptitude, coding and soft skills also begin. The placement cell is active throughout the year and brings in a mix of product-based, service-based and mid-tier tech companies. The number of offers varies every year, but CSE-related branches usually get the highest share of opportunities. Companies come for roles like software trainee, analyst, QA, support engineering and web development, so there’s a good spread of entry-level roles.

The placement of our college is good but its lack to bring big names but overall it's 3 out of 5 as it's basically focus on bringing software companies but our stream is of electronics so we donot have that much knowledge about coding so we lack to get placed this is the only disadvantage of the placement cell here

In Chitkara university a good number of companies visited like Microsoft, google and they provide 100+ offerletters. 85-90 % students get placed in Chitkara university. Placement Experience:

There is an option for students to opt for placements from campus in our university and if we seect that option we are given special training by the university it self in fields which we think we are weak. That include technical and non technical fields like soft skills. University also ties up with other triaining companis to train us in better way by calling tutors from outside the campus for teaching us. Over all if we consider we are already well trained by university to sit for on campus placements and we usually get a good paying job which also helps us to gain more knowledge and improve ourself.
