I choose the CSE course because of the great need for software engineers in the IT sector. The good placement provides in this course. The faculty-student ratio is very good. All faculties have master's degrees. Some faculties are professors and IITians.

There is many more students intern in every year they can help the student to get placed in future and they can develop the students for better future and they develop the future and there are good.

Placement Experience

4

From the 6th semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Infosys, TCS, WIPRO, AMAZON ...etc companies visited and many offers were made. TCS provides the highest package of 16 lakh and the average placement is 7 lakh. I will also look for the best placement after the completion of my degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

College provides Students with many more scholarships like the Bihar Student credit card scheme, on the basis of 12th marks, and jee marks. At all colleges, the fee is best. Anyone can afford this fee. No extra cost will be needed in the Study because all study material will be provided.

The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.
