Hi guys. I am shubham singh from mimit MALOUT. I am studying here from computer science and engineering. It is a good college. And you can visit here and got admission if you want. Here a lot of knowledge and placements form campus you can got.Thankyou

Course Curriculum Overview

There are 6 months for a semester and in A semester tow MSTs and a final semester exams and not extremely difficult to pass here. Everything is ok and going in a good condition. Infrastructure is also good here.

The percentage of getting placement in this college is near about 60% of the students are get placed at here. And my planes after getting digree is start a startup because I have no any intrest to getting a job but I will if I want. Thankyou

In the college hostel is very cheap charge and this is near about 9400/year for single room and 6400/year for double and four seater room. And here you can get private pg here the charge is near about 4000-6000 rupee per month. Thankyou

Life at CGC Landran

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

There is an option for students to opt for placements from campus in our university and if we seect that option we are given special training by the university it self in fields which we think we are weak.That include technical and non technical fields like soft skills. University also ties up with other triaining companis to train us in better way by calling tutors from outside the campus for teaching us. Over all if we consider we are already well trained by university to sit for on campus placements and we usually get a good paying job which also helps us to gain more knowledge and improve ourself.
