Remarks

The admission process was quite smooth. Entrance exam followed by GD and Group PI. The application was done from the official Jamia Millia Islamia website. All the information provided on the website was accurate.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

This course is really relevant especially in today's time. Teacher to faculty ratio is really good at JMI Social work Department. under each supervisor, there used to be 6-7 students. Teaching involved both on-field and theory classes. All the faculty members are super qualified and leaders in their field.

Placement Experience

4.5

A central placement cell is there which looks after the overall placement of the college. Job fairs and internship fairs did happen. Also, each department has its own placement cell as well. Many renowned companies visit JMI every year including - TCS, Vedanta, Trident, Pradan etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

All the information related to scholarship and assistance can be found on the official website or by visiting the college. Students can also visit the department for further details. my Course fee is 20500

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life is really interactive and open to new ideas. We had department fest along with much other Elocution competition, Social work congress, Skill-development classes etc. Jamia's central library is one of the biggest and each department has its own library as well. All societies like - Debating, Drama, Singing, Dance, NSS, and NCC is there.

Interview Experience

5

Yes, GD was there followed by Group Interview. Each team was provided with different sets of topics. Mine was the Indian Education Policy and its relevance. GD was done under 1 supervisor where 8-10 students participated, Post GD a group of 4 students were sent for a Group interview which was conducted by 4 faculty members. The admission criteria included - (Entrance Exam result+GD marks+GI marks).

Continuous and comprehensive evaluation or CCE is a well-structured formula and anyone in the system can learn from it and get the benefits from it as well. The termwise assessments are the proofs that one can derive inspiration from it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have did my BA in the same course that's why I opted for this again in my MA. The curriculam was quiet good according to the previous syllabus. Whatever I have read in my bachelors, I got to know it deeper in my Masters. The timings of the exams were okay according to the syllabus. Also there was no difficulty level if you have read the syllabus properly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since I had done my bachelors in Sociology (H), I found it fit to pursue public administration and due to my other prior engagements I opted for the ODL programme hence IGNOU. The course can be very lengthy and tiring and above all you have to figure it all out on you own and so it can get a bit confusing too sometimes. The exams and assignment submissions happen only once a year.

Reviewed on Jan 17, 2024(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course considering my interest in East Asian culture and Languages. The Faculty: Student ratio is 1:40 and most of the professors are Ph.D scholars. The teaching method comprises reading books and learning after it which stipulates the form of an ancient education system like any other mediocre Indian University. "An important factor to consider is that faculty sometimes fell short due to a shortage of subject masters(or should I say language) For example, Chinese faculty is much in number and experience than Korean and Japanese while the latter suffer the incompetency of the number of faculty. Term exams happened to be very fast but it was due to the internal issues that remain consistent in DU and except that there would be tons of Internal Assessments that play a major role in one's SGPA. Exam level - Hard!
