Entrance Preview

I had taken JEE as it is mandatory to give entrance exam to get entrance in any of engg colleges. I had scored 120 out of 600. On basis of this marks i applied to this engg college & i got selected in this college.

Internships Opportunities

Our college was visited by some hiprofile MNCs Techm, Cognizant, TCS etc.They offered package mimimum 2.5 to 3 lacs per annum to freshers.The Training and Placement center has group discussion and interview rooms. The placement cell maintains a database of all the registered students with information on companies who have visited the campus. Companies visit the campus every year and recruit students.

Placement Experience

Out of 480 students in all of engg final year batch 275 were selected in various companies. They offered package mimimum 2.5 to 3 lacs per annum to freshers.

Fee Structure And Facilities

In our times it was 45000 per annum excluding hostel & exam fees. I may say it was reasonable compared to most other colleges. B.Tech Rs.3,52,000 For 4 Years.

Exam Structure

Exams are the regular affair i our engg college.They were used to takes class test regularly and mid term test etc and then there r semesters in each year. Lab classes are only 2 to 3 days in a week they conducted.

Faculty

Our Faculty was very helpful and they are all well educated and has done MTECH in various fields.Classes are interactive in nature and are a healthy mix of formal lectures, case studies and presentations. An equal weightage of 50% is given to both internal and external exams. Tests are conducted on a regular basis which can be both, planned as well as surprise in nature.

placements start in 7th - 8th semester . Companies like wipro cisco and TCs etc visit. Average package is 4-5 LPA , and highest I could say 9 to 10 LPA .. my plans would be- if not got high paying job on campus I will try off campus too..

Placement Experience:

In my college students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester and every year many companies come for hiring. Recently companies like TCS Accenture Cognizant Hitachi JSW Group Philips Axis Bank and some startups also visited so we get both IT and core chances. As per the latest data the highest package was around 24 LPA and the average stays around 6 to 6.5 LPA for most students and the lowest offers start from 3.5 LPA so it depends a lot on the role and company. Many students get placed but it mostly depends on skills performance and branch so it is not guaranteed for everyone. I feel the college gives decent chances but we also have to do our own preparation because competition is high. If I dont get placement from campus then I will try off campus also because there are many openings outside specially in IT. Overall placements are good for this level college and since companies keep coming for drives students who prepare properly usually get at least one offer.

SIT is best engineering college of Pune!!

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills.
