Remarks

The admission process is very easy. You need to appear for the MHT CET exam. On the basis of the CET score, you get admission to VIIT. You need to register for the CAP process. After filling out the form of colleges, on the result, you get the college. You also get reservation-based fees structure.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is very good. It is According to the norms of AICTE. As it is an Autonomous Institute, the curriculum and syllabus are changing year to year and keep moderating as per new technologies in the industry. The faculty is also very good and experienced.

Yes, you get various placement opportunities in the VIIT . Many MNCs came to VIIT for a hiring process with a good package. Average package between 4 to 5 lacs. Companies like Amazon, Nvidia, segate, Accenture, Vodafone, Avaya etc came for hiring.

You get the fees structure based on reservation categories. Like OBC, NT. ST, SC, Minorities etc. Also, you can get scholarship benefits based on the category and eligibility you have. I have availed of the scholarship given by Maharashtra state.

Campus Life

Life on the campus is not very much interesting, but you can enjoy the various events held at college. Like Gandharva, Vishwapreneur, TedXVIIT, etc. Gandharva is the annual fest of college and is held in the month of January. It is a techno-cultural event. Also, various clubs like EDC, CEC, NSS, TEDx, Avishkar etc are there for students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The part of the curriculum that inspired me to take up this course is definitely applied mathematics as engineering has a lot of math integrated in it and helps the student to improve his/her logic and problem solving skills which are very important in today's job market. Some areas where I'd like the syllabus to improve are NEP related subjects like PPS, Indian Knowledge System etc. These courses are not related to the major but are included because of the New Education Policy(NEP). I feel that most of these courses are a complete waste of time and can be replaced by better courses.

VIIT -a good option?

1) I applied to VIT pune ,COEP pune ,PICT pune,CUMMINS ,PCCOE . I didnt get these colleges because i didnt have percentile for merit for that college i had 95.84 percentile and their cutoff for CS branch was 97 at that time which was difficult for me . 2)students can enroll in our college using MHTCET and JEE mains score .Through cet cell there are cap rounds total three and last one spot round (may have changed now).Apart from this there are no tests or exams to get an admission in this college...Read More
