Remarks

I appeared in jee mains advanced in 2021. I secured 11290 all india rank in jee mains but not good in jee advanced, So I decided to admit in NIT Rourkela. So in this process of admission is the best experience in the duration of like 1 month.

Course Curriculum Overview

As I am now in the First year of b.tech, so we are discussed with the new and interesting courses. Now, I am attending the classes in online mode, and the faculty members also have good teaching experience they are very friendly and explain all our doubts.

Class Size: 158Course Fees: INR 62500 per year

There are many opportunities for internships depending on the student skills in our college. There are many on-campus internship programs and off-campus internship programs. These type of programs helps in excelling in your career.

Placement Experience

From the 7th semester, students are eligible for campus placements. There are many good companies like Google, Amazon, Microsoft, etc are visiting and they are offering job according to the quality of students.

Fees and Financial Aid

So our total Fees for b.tech in NIT Rourkela are around 8 lakh. As I am from the OBC category and our annual income is less than 5 lakhs so I have done the payment of around 1.1 lakh except for the hostel fees, I am attending online classes so there are no fees for the hostel and mess. About scholarship, I have applied only for the state government scholarship.

Campus Life

Actually, We are now at home and doing online classes so we haven't experienced the campus life in NIT Rourkela. and about the clubs and social life, clubs are inducting people online. Still, now I am not in any club, but surely in 2nd year, I will be there as I am facing some problems online.

Placements are quite good. Thats precisely why i chose this college . The highest offer last year was 52 lpa . Other than that average package is 6 to 8 lpa for cse students . Mostly all students get placed . A few companies that come for placements are Infosys, TCS , JP Morgan , Deloitte , Bookings holidays , Cognizant, Accenture .

After 3rd semester the students are eligible for internship but after 4th sem the students are eligible for Plecement. More the 95% students get the placements. Highest package is aprox Rs.4300000 and lowest is 300000. My plan is for higher studies after getting degree.

ITER SOA is quite intimidating!!

Placement Experience:

IBM, Siemens, Philips and many other companies and even the chio makers and computer makers are also one of the main share holders in placements. For CSE department the average placements are of 15-20 lakhs but for our department the average drops down to 6 lakhs per annum.

Honest and Genuine review of NIT Rourkela

So I choose these college over the others because of its relevant name and the hype of this college In India as It is Institute of national importance And also a government backed college and it is one of the most demanded college. So the colleges which I have applied to are DTU, NSUT, Nit Trichy, Nit Warangal, Nit Surat Kal And top 7 iits. No I was not rejected from the other college which I have applied to but the combination of branching and the college value Doesn't satisfied me for taking admission in that colleges. So the admission process for the Nit Rourkela Is that the eligibility criteria is 75% in 12th class And second criteria is to clear the entrance exam which is the JEE mains and also scoring a very good marks in it. Then by the centralised Josaa Counselling student will fill their choices ,lock and get allotments in the upcoming rounds of the josaa counselling. The ending rank to take admission in this college in the EC branch is about a 6000-7000 rank in the jee mains exam for the other state people.
