Remarks

Nothing as such improvement is needed. It went quite well. The admission process was quite smooth. The environment was student-friendly. Seniors were helpful. They helped us during the admission process. Overall the college is doing well.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I chose the course because I found it quite interesting which is eventually prooved over time. The faculty is to student ratio was 10:28 means 5:14. The faculty members were pretty qualified. I like the way they used to teach. The university use to organise exams timely and it was not that difficult to pass the exams.

Placement Experience

5

They provide opportunities to get hired by companies like TCS, Infosys, and ITC. Most of the packages of the companies are offered by 240000 LPA. 80-90% of students got placed during campusing. I had plans to pursue higher studies which I am doing now.

Fees and Financial Aid

Initially, the course fee was 23000. But it got a hike to 26000 in the second year of my study. I used to get a scholarship name Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means which offered me 18000 per year and I also got Kanyashree in the second year which offered me 25000. We were provided opportunities by the college to be hired by various companies after completion of graduation.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life was very good. We got to attend 2 fests in our college life which occurred in the middle of September named UDAAN. The college library was filled with books and journals. I didn't have to buy books as ample books were available in our library. We had a great opportunity to participate in extracurricular activities during our college days.

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered for such roles ranges between ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package offered to a BSc student is around ?4 LPA, depending on skills and specialization. Overall, around 15–20% of BSc students get placed through campus drives, and many students rely on off-campus opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was well thought out as per me but there were subjects that i found absolutely unnecessary. Subjects like history evs and clc were in no way related to my course. Coming to the main subjects Design, Printing, Photography and film and Media Training were absolutely necessary for my course and whilst the faculty for some of these subjects were really bad, some were good. It is also important to mention none of these subjects actually helped us prepare for the real world. Instead internships and freelance helped us more than these subjects could ever do. Exams were held bi monthly to keep track of what we learnt and every 6 months we had our semester exams. Overall if you want to be a media professional INTERNSHIPS AND JOBS WILL HELP YOU MORE THAN A COLLEGE WILL. I am biased on this opinion as my college didnt provide me with the correct guidance and support i needed to make it in the real world.

Placement Experience:

In case of computer science department, placement is provided at the Last year of M.sc course. Many companies like Wipro, b10x, Tata visited here. Highest package ever is three lakh per annum. 20-40% of the students got placement after completing M.Sc computer science. My plan after B.sc is to pursue MCA.

* It's all about practical knowledge, we are getting from this course and another aspect is if you wants to make your career in research or lecturer then you should go for it. *No changes required in teaching methods but if college will provide hostel facilities and campus requirement drive, then it will better for candidates.
