Remarks

For getting admission to VIIT,Pune you need to appear for MHT CET exam. On the basis of CET score you got admission there. You have to register for CAP process of engineering . Reservation based benefits are also available in college for paying fees.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is based on aicte norms. As viit , pune is autonomous institution it modifies the curriculum year to year. Syllabus modified according to industry . Exams are conducted regularly insem exams and end semester exams. Also practicals and project based learning are conducted.

Internships Opportunities

For the students many internship opportunities are there present in the college. Research internships and industry internship are available. Students can get good experience from the internships. Also you can have ppo + internship offer from placement activities.

Placement Experience

College provides placements for students and students are eligible from the 5th semester onwards. Average package is about Rs 420000 . Many good companies came to college for hiring . About 300 + companies are there . Companies like Amazon , nvidia , eaton , tcs , accenture , avaya , etc came to hire.

Fees for VIIT ,Pune is about Rs. 152000 annually . Also reservation based fees benefits are also available. Students can take the benefits as per category. Many goverment and private scholarship are avaialable in the college for students. Fees hike are minor yearly.

Campus Life

Viit ,Pune organizes the annual fest named Gandharva . It is a event of 5 to 6 days . It is techno cultural event held in college. Also various clubs for students are there in the college . Clubs like EDC , NSS , CEC , MESA , CESA , ROTRACTS, Aviahkar are there in college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The part of the curriculum that inspired me to take up this course is definitely applied mathematics as engineering has a lot of math integrated in it and helps the student to improve his/her logic and problem solving skills which are very important in today's job market. Some areas where I'd like the syllabus to improve are NEP related subjects like PPS, Indian Knowledge System etc. These courses are not related to the major but are included because of the New Education Policy(NEP). I feel that most of these courses are a complete waste of time and can be replaced by better courses.

VIIT -a good option?

1) I applied to VIT pune ,COEP pune ,PICT pune,CUMMINS ,PCCOE . I didnt get these colleges because i didnt have percentile for merit for that college i had 95.84 percentile and their cutoff for CS branch was 97 at that time which was difficult for me . 2)students can enroll in our college using MHTCET and JEE mains score .Through cet cell there are cap rounds total three and last one spot round (may have changed now).Apart from this there are no tests or exams to get an admission in this college...Read More
