The UGC has conferred Autonomous status on Mar Baselios College of Engineering & Technology, which has been notified by the KTU as per the direction of the Govt. of Kerala.The 50% of the total seats will be filled by the Commissioner for Entrance Examination (CEE) from the list prepared by the CEE on the basis of merit and in accordance with reservation principles followed by Government. The remaining 50% seats will be filled up by the Management under merit and NRI quota.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose civil engineering to perceive a career opportunity.Faculty members in Mar Baselios College are highly trained and knowledgeable. They have staff advisory for continuous monitoring of student's performance. The staff is very friendly, and we can approach them anytime to get our doubts cleared. Semester exams are average. But the thing is that yes it is a degree course which is quite difficult to pursue because it requires a regular study and the student must be completely focused on the subjects and innovations that are taking place every day with the advancement in the technology .

Campus Life

Most of the students are getting placed from civil engineering branch. Core companies are less and lead companies are MNCs.The infrastructure of the college is very good. Wifi facility is available and there are 3 cafterias. There is one spacious and clean basketball ground.Our college has an excellent library with collection of books. All internal journal accesses are free.

from semister 6 students become eligible for campus placements and companies loke bank of america , google microsoft etc visited for campus placements and the highest package is about 54 lakhs where as average is 11 lakhs and about 98% of the students are placed

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Average student experience at amrita

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

I had applied for saitgaits,amal jyothi and cet. Considering cet,the fee and placements are high but the discipline and structured way is lacking.Now considering saintgaits and amal jyothi,there are more opportunities in mbcet to explore.. mbcet is also in the town and easily approachable via public transport.mbcet has a disciplined approach to studies.comparing the hostels too mbcet has one of the best hostels. I was rejected in cet for cs dept as i didnt aquire the required rank..i was accepted in both others but decided to join mbcet due to its status in society.
