For getting into the college you have to give MHT CET exam. And have to apply the CAP process on the portal. On the score of CET, you get admission to college. The admission process Is very easy. Also, you get reservation benefits.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is very good and moderate. As it is an autonomous college, the syllabus and curriculum are updated from time to time. The syllabus is according to industry standards and new technologies. Exams are conducted regularly by the college. Also, practicals are conducted according to industry standards.

College students have internship opportunities in college from various industries. Research internship through faculty is also available for students. Companies like Atlas Copco, Fluid control, persistent, etc are some of the companies which offered internships to students. If you got PPO from any company you can do internship there.

At VIIT, Pune placements are very good. College provides placements for the students from the 6th semester. Many MNCs came to college for placements. Amazon, Nvidia , HSBC, Avaya , Tavisca , Accenture, Cognizant, etc are some of the companies. Almost 80 to 90 % of students get placements from college.

Fees and Financial Aid

Basic fees for the college are around Rs. 153000 to 160000. And also the reservation benefits are available to students. Scholarships are offered by Government and various private organizations. Students can take advantage of that.

Campus Life

Campus life at college is quite good. The college has an annual fest named Gandharva. It is a techno-cultural event mainly held for 5 - 6 days in January. Also, various clubs are available for students in college. EDC, NSS, Avishkar , Robocon , Rotract club, ACM etc are the clubs for students

Course Curriculum Overview:

The part of the curriculum that inspired me to take up this course is definitely applied mathematics as engineering has a lot of math integrated in it and helps the student to improve his/her logic and problem solving skills which are very important in today's job market. Some areas where I'd like the syllabus to improve are NEP related subjects like PPS, Indian Knowledge System etc. These courses are not related to the major but are included because of the New Education Policy(NEP). I feel that most of these courses are a complete waste of time and can be replaced by better courses.

VIIT -a good option?

1) I applied to VIT pune ,COEP pune ,PICT pune,CUMMINS ,PCCOE . I didnt get these colleges because i didnt have percentile for merit for that college i had 95.84 percentile and their cutoff for CS branch was 97 at that time which was difficult for me . 2)students can enroll in our college using MHTCET and JEE mains score .Through cet cell there are cap rounds total three and last one spot round (may have changed now).Apart from this there are no tests or exams to get an admission in this college...Read More
