Remarks
The college takes admissions for UG courses through 2 exams, GBPUAT Entrance Exam and ICAR AIEEA UG. The eligibility is class 12th. The entrance exams are generally conducted from May - to July and the course begins in September.
Course Curriculum Overview
Agricultural Engineering is a branch with increasing demand between students as it offers a variety of courses to study and its diverse curriculum. The faculty-student ratio here is about 1:25. Almost every faculty here have done their Ph.D. from reputed universities. Term exams are moderate and can be passed easily with regular studies.
Internships Opportunities
There are no on-campus internship offers as such. The students get internships by applying off-campus. The professors here, help the students by forwarding a recommendation letter to the company in which the student wants to apply for an internship.
Placement Experience
The placements here are sort of average. Students can sit for placements from the 7th semester. The highest package offered was 18 lacs and the average package is around 7-8 lacs. Around 70-75 % of students get placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure per semester is as follows; Academics Fees: Rs. 35000 Hostel and Food charges: Rs. 20000 Students who got admission through ICAR AIEEA UG get a scholarship of RS. 3000 per month from ICAR. Other students get scholarships based on merit as well as means.
Campus Life
The campus is great! Every now and then fests are being organised which ae fun to participate in. eg.: Colloseum, Accolade, and many cultural nights. There is a huge collection of books in the library. For sports there is a large stadium and indoor stadium for indoor sports as well.
Hostel Facilities
Every student gets hostel rooms as there are ample number of rooms. We get 1 chair, 1 table, 1 bed and an almirah in each room for each student. Registration process is simple and takes 2 - 4 hours to get the rooms alloted. The mess menu is quite diverse. We get both non veg on Wednesday and Friday.
