National Law University, Jodhpur Review

National Law University, Jodhpur is ranked in the top ten among the 23 NLUs. The college has a very good faculty structure and there is 20 research centre which provides us with very good learning opportunities. For admission to the college, I have to pass the CLAT entrance test conducted by NLU,l after I passed the CLAT test I was invited to the college for GD and PI round and at last, my documents were verified and admission was granted.

The curriculum follows all the latest corporate law guidelines and the curriculum is the proper blend of the terminology and chronology and legality of the corporate world. The faculty of the college is very well qualified the plus point is that the faculty also have a very good corporate experience and they share their valuable case and experiences with us. The faculty also have completed the PhD program. The faculty of the college is also very encouraging.

The college has very good placement but the fact is also that most of us after completing the program decides to opt for personal practice because there is a lot more opportunity but then also the college offer placement opportunity and during our time i.e in 2019 almost the highest package was around 15 LPA and the average salary offer was approx 8 LPA. Legal firms like AZB & Partners, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, Desai & Diwanji, Khaitan & Company visited our campus for the placement. The college also offered foreign placement opportunities.

The college campus is very big and there is around 20 research centre in which gives us very good opportunity to learn something new and interesting and even the Reserve Bank Of India has allotted the fund for the college for research activity the name of the few research centre are Centre for IP Studies, Centre for Insolvency & Bankruptcy Studies, Centre for Competition Law & Policy, Centre for Tax Law (CTL), Centre for Gender Studies, Centre for Legal Theory, etc there many such research centre. The college library is on the two floors and there are all the books related to corporate and all other types of legal books are also available and plus these books are also available in e-book format and many legal journals are also available that are in the e-journal format. The college also has sports facilities like cricket, football ground, basketball, badminton court and volley ball court. Moot court is very nicely maintained and we regularly get an opportunity for practice.

The hostel rooms are nicely designed and the rooms are fully furnished. The hostel wardens are also professional. The hostel has a cafeteria facility and the mess food is also hygienic. The hostel has Gym and a Common room with LCD TV. The hostel has a WiFi facility and stationery and general shops are available for purchasing all necessary things.
