Remarks

Hostel is bad, culture is good, teaching is good, celebrations are bad.

Entrance Preview

I took AIEEE and secured 3000 rank all india level and now i have written GRE and secured 304, selected amrita university in bachelors and binghamton university in masters.

Course Curriculum Overview

Here the core subjects includethermo dynamics, automotive engineering, fluid mechanics, and some major eectives are supply chain management, industrial engineering, which includes ergonomics etc. the ost important subject is machine design which contains major part in autocad.

Internships Opportunities

Actually there are no internships tie up with college, but they are tied up with jobs. mainly infosys, wipro, cts are the major bul taking companies. ashok leyland, microsoft, cisco, volo, utc, etc came to the university.

Placement Experience

According to recent statistics 99% are plced, the aaverage salary is 3.5 lakhss per annum and major companies like microsoft gives abbout 5 laks to 15 lkahs per annum. But big companies will take about 10% of the college.

College Events

All major events are celebrated here, majorly diwali is best of all they get crackers to university ground under safe circumstances, they make us fire the crackers. the best part is all crackers would be finished in 20 minutes.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Its not feasible very expensive now adays they are charging more fees, but the standard is perfect. They are well strutured and good in some cases.

Hostel Facilities

Facilities are not that good but they are changing the system nowadays. The mess food is not upto mark but they are improving now adays.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Good there is an excellent alumini network they are very good at helping others in searching for jobs. They form a website and updated each every step and details of student what are they gonna do now or later.

Exam Structure

Yes they are frequent once every two weeks all exams are counted to th final mark sheets. so they are hectic days and some nightouts all the night chilling ays are also there once exams are done we go outsside and play all the games.

Faculty

Faculty are great, they are well professional, well talented and best professors I have seen, mainly to say, Mr. phanibushana and professor veeresh are the best professors of whole mechanical engineering at amrita university.

Life at IIT Dharwad - What to expect

Placement Experience:

At IIT Dharwad, students become eligible for campus placements right after their 7th semester(i.e. after the start of 4th year) and during their 3rd year, students also have opportunities to sit for internships which can later convert to PPOs. The companies that have visited our campus are Adobe, Amazon, Texas, TCS, wipro etc. The highest CTC offered was 55LPA and average package for CSE is 18-20LPA, and for the core branches is around 10-15LPA. In CSE more than 93% of the students got placed and many of other students opted for higher studies . In the core branches the placement percentage was around 85-88%. After My degree, I plan to go for a Software Engineer role.

My life in Amrita as an Undergraduate

I applied to PESU in bengaluru, i wanted CSE but got into ECE so i chose AI and DS in Amrita over ECE in PESU. Also fees was lesser in Amrita compared to PESU. I wanted to apply for MIT, bangalore but since the college was very far and the fees was huge i diidnt apply, plus i already got into amrita by then. And since i am from bangalore and didnt want to leave the place i didnt try for colleges outside of bangalore. The admission process for my college is either through the entrance exam conducted by them which is AEEE or through JEE. I got in through JEE since it was better than my AEEE score. with a rank below 3k students might get into slab 1 for any course if they are from bangalore due to local quota....Read More

This college has an edge over other colleges, because it has been rated highly, with NAAC accredited A++ and NIRF 7th in the country.
