Remarks

RVCE has the best placement record in the state of Karnataka, & also one of the best in the country. The infrastructure is good, & there is a learning environment inside the campus.

Entrance Preview

I took the KMAT entrance exam to get into this college. I am pursuing my Master Of Computer Applications.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The faculty encourage U a lot to take up activities involving research & development. The MCA course comes under the VTU university, which is one of the best in the country. The syllabus has been structured quite well, so that it can help the students in obtaining jobs soon after the course.

Internships Opportunities

No, the college does not provide internship. But the college does help a lot to get internships from outside, & since the college has a very gud reputation, internships will be offered around atleast 10k.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements are the best in the state. Many MNCs visit the college for recruitment, & they do offer some of the best packages any one can expect. This year the highest offered package was somewhere around 30lpa (not exactly sure). Some of the companies who visited were Akamai, Auriga IT, Infosys, Accenture, ThoughtWorks, Cerner, etc

College Events

3.5

The college celebrates an annual event called the 8th Mile, which includes all kinds of event like cultural, management events, technical events. All the departments are involved in the event, & every department co-ordinates atleast one event. The festival is conducted for 2 - 3 days, & there will also be DJ nights, & some celebrity invited for a live concert.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is much better when compared to other colleges. An annual tuition fees of around 85000 is to be paid.Hostel & Mess charges would be around 60000 every year. Exam fees around 1000 every sem.If its a donation seat, then a donation of 350000 would be taken.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have no idea about any loans which are available, but the college does provide some scholarships through the government.

Campus Life

4

The campus life at RVCE is a wonderful one, the best u can expect. The college highly encourages extra curricular activities, participating in national level events like fests, workshops, conferences etc. There are strict rules against ragging, & it is taken very seriously. There is no such thing as racism etc.

Hostel Facilities

4

The facilities in the hostel are very good.Although the food is alright, its much much better than when compared to other college hostels. After the 1st year, u'll be given a single room, which is completely worth the money. The hostel will surely be an enjoyable environment to make new friends.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumini & Senior students do visit the college often, the seniors are invited to have discussions with the final year students, so that they can have an idea of the actual corporate world.

Exam Structure

Yes, the exams & labs are very frequent, & everyday is a hectic day for the students.Classes from 9-5 & there'll be a lab for 3 hrs everyday.Every lab will be like a final lab exam, with viva, execution of programs without seeing the code etc.The internal exams will be very strict, more over it'll be more difficult than the external exams.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty are highly qualified, and expect a lot of high level thinking from the students. Every student is made to complete one project per semester, which would be non-academic project. These projects would need to be done following the software development life cycle techniques so it will be a hectic task, & we do get to learn a lot.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chosed artificial intelligence and data science because it has a very good future.the world now is depending on ai so its very useful for me to get a job. My college and the faculties r really preparing us so well for the real world applications. But they can still improve in the teaching methods. The frequency of the exams r really very good and even the time is very efficient, it will be quite difficult but its for improvement of our practical thinking.
