Remarks
Overall it was a smooth and nice experience as the whole admission process was an online process. There were a few glitches during the process but it didn't last long and everything went well. The staff on reaching college was very supportive and welcoming. The processing of documents and checking went way too well. In all it was a nice and exciting experience.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I have a deep interest in biology and more than that I have a deep interest in microbiology. The facilities and faculties both here are the best. Teachers here are very supportive and optimistic. They have a deep knowledge of everything which they try their best to deliver us in the most interesting way possible. Every teacher has their own unique way of explaining and making things understand to us. Moreover the labs are truly amazing as well. They give us a real life practical experience of our theoretical knowledge. The exams were taken in a gap of every six months and added to it regular test were taken every week or once in two weeks. This prepared us for exams before exams. After giving regular tests passing the exam didn't seem too difficult. And for that I thank my teachers who trained us so well throughout the year that we had no fear of exam in our head in the end.
Internships Opportunities
Companies such as Labcorp, Mrieux NutriSciences, Eurofins Scientific, Aerotek and even Nestle visited us. Most of the job offers were of 1.Academic researcher. 2.Biomedical scientist. 3.Biotechnologist. 4.Clinical research associate. 5.Clinical scientist, immunology. 6.Food technologist assistant 7.Medicinal chemist assistant Mostly all jobs were to assist the seniors of these departments in the company. The stipend offered was also very reasonable. Most of the jobs offered were based on our technical and microbiological skills. It made us even more confident about our academic achievements. It was a nice experience working with the companies and knowing the visions and withins of a company.
Placement Experience
Eligibility : students became eligible for campus placements after 4th semester. Companies : many companies that deal with the biotechnology background visited our college such as Pharma QAQC, Labcorp, Mrieux NutriSciences, Aerotek and many more. Packages: an average offer given by all the companies was about 300000 to 400000 per annum. The highest offer went up to 700000 lakhs per annum. %of students: about 98% students got placements or offers from decent companies. My plans: my plans after getting the degrees are to do a job while enrolling into master's. Because I want to progress both in my job as well as my academic carrier. I want to be a my expenses myself while making myself more worthy and knowledgeable.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is quite handsome and affordable for a middle class family. But if you are taking a hostel then you might be high on expenses, otherwise only college fee isn't that hiked up. Regular scholarship and help programmes are also organised to help those who can't afford to pay fee. I got a job of lab attendant in biotech company with stipend. It really made me feel independent and assured. So I felt that it was a good decision that I got into this college.
Campus Life
Annual fest and tech festival are really amazing and zestful. They are mostly conducted during the month of April. Apart from this there are a lot of societies and clubs which help students enhance their talents and activities. One such is "Alvira" which I was a part of that helped me connect to like minded art lovers. It was fun participating in all the competitions and I even won some. All the facilities and basic amenities are available for everyone who is interested in games and sports. Many quotas are also allowed for students with sports background which makes us feel more spirited towards sports. In all our college provides us full entertainment and enjoyment along with study.
