IIT Jammu Review

The campus is located in the very beautiful location of Jammu. The college is popular for its academic excellence quality and the for its highly experienced faculty. The B.Tech is the flagship course of the college. I have to fill out the application form from the college website and have to clear my JEE advance exam and have to appear for JOSAA counselling. I attended JOSAA counselling after clearing my exam and was able to secure my seat in IIT Jammu.

The curriculum of civil engineering is the proper mixture of live projects and theoretical engineering concepts. The curriculum properly teaches us about every module of civil engineering whether it be Construction engineering, geotechnical engineering, fire protection engineering, materials engineering, hydraulic engineering, structural analysis, soil mechanics, etc. The faculty of the college is also highly experienced and expert in their respective field. The faculty have completed their PhD degree and research work from India's top universities and faculty have more than 10 years of teaching experience. The faculty is the one who helps us to understand every concept in detail and deeply.

The college has a very good internship program. The curriculum helps us to utilize our knowledge in the professional world and more than 45+ companies visited our campus for the summer internship program. The average stipend for an internship reached around 65k.

The college is a very new establishment and we were among the first batch to take part in the college placement drive. The college has invited around 120+ companies for placement drive and the highest placement offer of the college was around 41 LPA and the average salary offer was 20 LPA which is a very good return on investment. The placement cell was newly formed and filled with experts who have very good industrial experience.

The college provides scholarships as per the guideline of MHRD. The scholarship is available on a merit basis and for SC/ST as per the guidelines of MHRD. The college complete fee is around 5 lakh but the average salary offer is around 20 LPA which very high ROI. The college also provides a stipend facility during the internship program.

The college classrooms are highly ventilated and equipped with a digital board and computer systems. The college library is the source of knowledge for us all types of books from academics to bestsellers authors books are available in the library from all around the world. The biggest plus point is that all types of research journals are also available that are very useful for us during the assignment.

The hostel rooms are fully furnished and have beds, almirahs, and study tables for every one of us. The hostel wardens are professional and the staff is very well trained. The hostel discipline is properly maintained. The hostel mess food is quite good and the menu keeps on changing at regular intervals. The hostel security is very good and available 24 hours. The hostel also has indoor games facilities.
