Remarks
College is good, infrastructure is improving day by day- the location is very beautiful and peace. The crowd is nice as being from south delhi area. market is awesome.
Entrance Preview
The admission in University of delhi purely depends on the marks which you score in 12th Class, then on the basis of the cut off lists, you can take the admission in the college where you can with your % of marks. I scored 78% in the year 2010 and got admission in Sri aurobindo college.
Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum is more on a commerce platform which focuses on subjects like economics and accountancy. Which would help you to go for MBA for further studies and choose the financial field for your career. Also, it had optional subjects in the 3rd year which grows the field of your knowledge base.
Internships Opportunities
No. Normally in an undergraduate course, internship is not required. But the placement cell is active in the college for the students willing to work for 3-4 weeks.
Placement Experience
Placements and job opportunities are not good. Generally companies don't come to the colleges in South campus, but the college has a small placement cell which could offer you jobs between 15-20K. Rest it works as a typical Govt. college. It doesn't looks after jobs & Placements like other colleges.
College Events
They have many events - their regular college fest- they invite good personalities. like dilbagh singh and recently Dy.Cm of Delhi also came in the college to attend a conference and share his thoughts to the students for the same. Fresher's party was a big theme festival in the college.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It was quite feasible at that time, fees for 3 years was around Rs10,000 only, now it would be around Rs14,0000-Rs15,000 only. The examination fees was around Rs700 for the registration of the external examinations. The back log fees for each paper is Rs1100
Fees and Financial Aid
No. But the scholarship is available for OBC or Sc/St students which are recognized by the university of delhi.
Campus Life
If you talk about the extra-curricular activities - they were not at all good. I never saw a debate or some cultural competition taking place in the college. The sports facility is only available for football as the ground is very small and a small basketball court.
Hostel Facilities
The food is not that good in quality terms, it is just ok. But there is plus point of the market, i.e. Malviya Nagar market- the food is very economical and very delicious. You will easily get all the cuisines in the market. Hostels nearby are good but a little expensive.
Alumni/Alumna
No. Alumni is not at all functionary in the college, making the seniors unreachable to the juniors.
Exam Structure
For every semester they conduct 2 examinations i.e. Internals and external. The labs and classroom studies were not hectic, it was fun with friends and the teachers are also quite friendly. Attendance marks are also added in the external marks which plays an important role.
Faculty
Faculty is very good and well experienced. Rather than just using the books, they share their valuable experience by which a student gets to learn about the real scenario in the corporate world. Faculties had a experience of minimum 15 years in academics.
