VIT Pune Review

VIT Pune is very popular in the western part of India and is one of the best alternatives to IIT and the college has been accredited A++ by NAAC. I choose VIT Pune because it is in my hometown and the college is popular for its program and placement quality. I cleared my JEE and applied for admission to the college from the official website of the college and have to pay an amount of Rs. 500(at my admission time). The admission process was simple and smooth.

The curriculum of the program is very good interactive. The curriculum is a mixture of theoretical and practical knowledge. The curriculum properly defines the importance of computer technology in today's technological era. The faculty is also of Ph.D. level and they are very helpful the faculty and student ratio is 1:10 for my program. The faculty uses traditional and modern teaching techniques to make our fundamentals clear.

Infosys, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, TCS are the companies that visit the campus for the internship program. We are eligible for the internship after completing the 3rd year of our program. We have to register our names with the college placement committee to take part in the internship program. The average stipend for the internship is approx 55k.

The college has a good placement record and the college provides good quality placement opportunities. The college has a 100% placement record. The college placement committee plays a very crucial role during the college placement rounds as they work as guiding forces and mentors for us and they make sure that every one of us is placed. The highest package for the batch was around 30 LPA and the average package was around 12 LPA. Microsoft, Wipro, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, TCS were the top recruiters.

The college provides scholarship on a merit basis and scholarship for SC/ST/PWD is also available. Education loan facility is also available and the admission staff will fully cooperate if anyone wants to apply for an education loan. The campus life of the college is good. Gandharva and SCITECH are the college annual tech fest where we get opportunities to present our innovative ideas. The college infrastructure is well maintained. The classrooms are big and modern and properly ventilated. The library is very big and the book collection is very good and books from all around the world are available in the library. NSS, cyber cell, Machine learning, IoT, etc are student-run clubs that are available in the college.

The hostel is good and is 2 km away from the college campus. The hostel rooms are available for sharing and single accommodation. The AC rooms and non AC rooms are also available as per the budget. The mess food quality is good and hygenic. The hostel provides us with 24 hours of WiFi facility and 24 hours power supply and water supply is also available. The hostel warden and the staff are very cooperative. The hostel has all the basic facilities and amenities as per our comforts.
