Remarks

I was allotted the IIT Dharwad seat in JOSAA counselling and I came to know that the college is mentored by IIT Bombay which was really a plus point for me as IIT Bombay is the top IIT college in India. In a very short span of time, the college is very popular for its educational quality and has made a name for itself. I immediately completed my admission process. The admission process was smooth and the staff was very cooperative.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum of the program is very good. It is a mixture of theoretical and practical knowledge. The curriculum gives us insight into computer technology and its important components. The curriculum teaches us about computer coding and programming in a very easy and practical way. The curriculum is flexible and is regularly updated to meet the industrial standards and norms.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

The internship is optional and we can also opt for an off-campus internship. If we wanted to opt for on campus internship we have to register ourselves with the placement committee as the committee is responsible for internship program. The average stipend for an internship was around 35k.

Placement Experience

4.5

The college was new and we were part of the first batch of the college. The college placement committee played a very important role in our placement as the committee was fully responsible for our placements. The college placement committee was successful in inviting good companies such as Microsoft, Amazon, Infosys, Wipro etc. The highest package for the batch was around 26 LPA and the average package was approx 12 LPA. For a new college placement like this is very good.

Fees and Financial Aid

The average complete college course fee is around 9 lakh. The college provides a good return on investment the college was new during our time the placement will definitely improve every year. The scholarship on merit basis is available and scholarship for SC/ST/PWD is also available. State government and central government-funded scholarships are also available. One can know more about the scholarship program by visiting the college official website.

Campus Life

4

The campus life of the college is good. PARSEC is the technical fest of the college which is a very good platform for us to show our innovative ideas. The college infrastructure is well maintained. The college provides a good opportunity for research work. The college library is full of many books from the best international seller authors and academic books are also available.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel infrastructure is well maintained and the rooms are big and spacious. The bathrooms are attached to every single room in the hostel. The hostel has 24 hours of water, power supply and we are also provided with 24 hours of high-speed WiFi facility. The hostel mess food is of good quality. The decorum of the hostel is very well maintained by the staff and the wardens of the hostels. We are provided with all kinds of basic and modern hostel facilities.

Faculty

4

The faculty of the college is good. The college does not compromise the quality of faculty. The faculty is of PhD level. The faculty can be easily approached to clear our doubts and they also properly help us and guide us.

The courses are very nice since it is an autonomous college the courses have been designed to provide the students with knowledge of the latest technology and the need of the hour. Although the new subjects becomes a little difficult to understand sometimes at the end it's going to benefit us itself .

Placement Experience:

The institute records an impressive average package of ~INR 7.20 LPA and the highest packages reaching up to INR 53.50 LPA. The college actively drives employability through a dedicated 'Talent Transformation Hub'. Campus Placements Overview CIT is known for its solid industry connections, resulting in 80–90% placement rates annually. Top Recruiters: Companies like Accenture, Infosys, HP, Amazon, and Samsung. The Process: The placement cell conducts specialized skill-building boot camps and provides structured mentorship to ensure students are corporate-ready by graduation. If Placements Fall Short: Employability & Alternative Plans Even though CIT consistently places the vast majority of its batch, students who do not secure on-campus job offers (or wish to pursue other paths) have robust support through: Startup & Entrepreneurial Initiatives: CIT has an active E-Cell and a business connection to help budding founders. The Talent Transformation Hub focuses on practical knowledge needed to start a business. Higher Education: Students frequently leverage the college's alumni network and faculty mentorship to prepare for competitive exams like GATE, or to apply for Master's programs (MS, M.Tech) in India or abroad. Off-Campus Drives & Internships: Students are encouraged to undertake industry internships and live projects to build their portfolios, making it easier to land off-campus roles at top tech companies.

This is the best part. The whole point of niat program is to get a study for the job. It's not like the old system where you chill for 3 years and panic in the 4th year. All the learning here are very different. From the first day itself we will be doing coding.
