Remarks

GATE exam to be cleared with GATE score more than 750 followed shortlisting based on PI. Found the app. form, fees, and dates from the NITIE website only. I did not avail any reservation benefits. No improvement its fine, moreover the fees much less as compared to other B-schools.

Chose this course out of interest in Supply chain domain and placements of the college. Faculty:student ratio is approximately around 5% Highly qualified faculty. MId sems and then End terms in every 3 months.

Companies range from Consulting, FMCG, Banking to E-commerce. Examples: Amazon, Delloite, Accenture, EY, PWC, HUL, Godrej, ITC, Pidillite, PnG, Mondelez, Loreal, Flipkart, etc. The roles are Consulting,SCM planning, operations, business solutions etc.

From 4th module students become eligible for campus placements. Around 100 companies visited the campus and that avg. CTC around 22 lacs and highest package of 49 lacs. 100% placements. Working in a reputed firm and getting exposure to different operations.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee is affordable here as compared to any other B-school, Stipend is provided to PGDIE program students. Different scholarships for SC/ST, PWD, Minority community, Girl students are provided. 100% placements history.

Campus Life

Annual fest: Aavartan conducted in October. Both offline and online availability of books and journals. Infrastructure is quite good with proper classroom facility, gym, playgrounds for football, cricket, Basketball, badminton and lawn tennis.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels have proper facilities with 3 mess options, common room. Taylor hall (boys hostel) has rooms with study tables, cupboards and common washrooms for wings. Gilbreth hall (girls hostel) has rooms with tables, cupboards available and attached washrooms in each room.

Interview Experience

No GD this year. Only PI was conducted. Interview Questions: Introduction, electrical background questions on especially the real-life applications working of ceiling fans, table fan, electrical motors etc. Questions on why gender ratio is poor in higher education.

What to expect from NITIE, Definitely is what you think

Placement Experience:

in the first semester, there is SIP, then the final placements, which start around November. there are all big players coming to NITIE but FMCG companies are abundant. The Big 4 and Mckiensy also visits for consulting. there are about 500 offers made. Highest Package: 78.2 LPA Average Package: 26.8 LPA Profiles tend to be supply chain related but not limited to it. 100% of students get placed. To enter into a big consulting firm and thereafter become a partner of it.

NITIE: God's own campus

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is mainly in the field of operations and supply chain domain. We are taught various subjects like optimization, AI/ML, data analytics, OB-HR, marketing, finance, ethics, economics etc. The student-faculty ratio is 70:1 The faculty have a good academic background and are highly experienced. Some of them have worked in the industry and have strong industry knowledge. Here we have modules and each module is of 3 months. We have a mid-term of 20 marks after 2 months and an end term in the last month. The paper is neither too difficult nor too easy. It doesn't contain direct questions. It's generally a case-based question paper.

A note on NITIE

Placement Experience:

Summer internship placements are done within three months of joining the college and many students get PPOed. For those who are not PPOed, the final placement drives start in December month. Placements are better than most of the IIMs. NITIE is always known for good placements. Every year 100% placements are given to students with a wide variety of sectors and profiles. The average package is around 25.4 Lakhs per year. Internship Opportunities are best compared to IIMs.

Placements are conducted in two phases, In one phase student with less the 24 months of Experience and in another phase students with greater than 24 months of Experience. Yes,I would like to say that there must be a cafeteria inside the campus which they should keep open 24/7.One good thing About NITIE is that it is situated in Mumbai, so you could hang on for whole night.
