NIT Puducherry Review

I was allotted the college during my JOSAA counselling. NITs colleges are quite popular for their B.Tech CSE course and NIT Puducherry is also popular for its CSE program and the college gives us an opportunity to complete our higher education from the international university under the students exchange program. To be part o NIT Puducherry I have to clear JEE exam which I have done and must secure a minimum of 65% marks and I have secured 69% marks in my 10+2. I was also l looking for the college that could fit my budget and wanted to be part of NIT for the CSE program and NIT Puducherry completely fits my preferences.

The curriculum of the college is as per the NIT means the curriculum follows all the national and international industrial norms and standards. The curriculum is designed to develop our problem-solving skills and decision-making abilities through case studies and mock tests. The curriculum teaches us about the basic and advanced levels of coding and the importance of coding in technology. The college labs are advanced and modern that helps us a lot during our projects and research work.

The internship is optional it is up to us whether we should opt for an internship or not. But I have opted for an internship program the college committee helps us out to identify companies for internships. We can also opt for an off-campus internship. The stipend depends according to the company and it usually ranges from Rs. 18000/- to Rs. 95000/-.

The college has a good placement record. The college placement committee is very helpful and cooperative. The placement committee of the college helps us to identify the companies as per our interest and they help us during the placement process so that we can get placed. The highest package for our batch was around 16 LPA and the average package was around 7.55 LPA. Companies like Samsung, Snapdeal, IBM, Virtusa, Tech Mahindra, Infosys, Wipro, IBM etc visited our campus for the college placement drive.

The college provides financial aid. Education loan facility is also available from the campus bank and admission department is very cooperative and the process of education loan is completed from the cooperation of the admission department.

The campus life of the college is normal. The campus is near to the seashore so the cold breeze in the evening freshens up the mood. The college also organises the sports competition in the month of April. The compitetion like dance, photography, quiz, debate competition takes place on the campus. The college classrooms are well maintained. The college library is full of books. The labs are modern and equipped with modern amenities.

The hostel infrastructure is very well maintained. The rooms are big and spacious. The hostel staff and wardens are professional and have good experience in maintaining the hostel decorum. The mess food is of good quality. The hostel provides us with 24 hours of high-speed WiFi connectivity. The hostel is equipped with all kinds of facilities for us. The hostel rooms have beds, chairs, study tables and a cupboard for every student.

The faculty of the college is professional. The faculty is of PhD level with good experience in research work which is very beneficial for us. The faculty of the college is friendly and we can also approach faculty any time to clear our doubts. The faculty teaching methods are simple and very interesting.
