Nit puducherry facts

Mechanical course has a diverse options in nit puducherry. And we are having many internships within the college itself. So we can do that within the college itself

Many self internships are available in the college for various branches like mechanical engineers and civil engineers and electrical engineers and some facilities for computer science engineering and ece also.

Placement is average in our college. For mechanical it's not that much. We hardly get 6 to 8 lpa jobs on average. But can go for IT placements and get upto 14 lakhs per annum. The highest package is 24 lpa

I'm paying a fee of 15000 per year and hostel fee of 24600. Fee wavier is depended upon caste and income in income certificate. My caste is obc and family income is 96k per year So I got a fee wavier. But some of my friends are paying 62500 per year and some are paying 125000 per year.

There are many clubs in our college like literacy club fashion club. And language clubs and also sports facilities which are the best part of college and also helps us to develop skills in other activities also.

Hostel facilities are not upto the mark of what we are paying fees for. But yeah friends make it somewhat better and are the main reason for staying in hostel. The food is good only on some days of the week.

I attended many private colleges and also applied councilling for many iit's and nit's but couldn't get seat in that. The remaining colleges that I applied are having a cutoff which is far away from my percentile.

In our college the faculty explanation is so good and the exam patter is designed with two mids and a final semester. The grading is done by relative method. And cgpa is allotted accordingly. So students no need to worry for more marks

No We are not asked to. Attend any interview before the admissions into the college. Just a formal verification of certificates and documents required during the time of admissions. Since we already cleared jee for getting admissions.

The night life in nit puducherry is somewhat less when compared to other institutions like iit's and nit's because the intime for girls is 6:30 pm. And boys is 9:30 pm. You can roam around the campus upto 11pm though.
