Remarks

To qualify for the course one should complete class 12 with 50% marks in total. And 55% of marks of in accountancy. They will select the candidates on the basis of merit. The application process is completely online. Then one should go for document verification after they enlist your name on the merit list. I am completely satisfied with the admission process.

Course Curriculum Overview

I come from a commerce background and Accountancy is my strength so I took up this course. The faculties are all highly qualified professors. Their teaching style is also commendable. The difficulty level of term exams is moderate and one should score 40% marks to qualify in that.

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 5540 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

During my tenure the fees were quite decent, I didn't notice any hike in fees. The cost I paid for 3 years was 5540Rs. The scholarship is for the students who get 55% marks in master degree in commerce and 50% in graduation.

Campus Life

The name of the annual fest which takes place in the month of March is Cognizance. Students enjoy the a lot in the fest. The fresher's program to welcome the new students is celebrated in December. The library is full of journals and topic based books. One can easily get access to those by just issuing a library card. The sports program also takes place in our college. There is a social group present in the college to help the students in case they have any issues.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.

SAJC - From The Eye of a Student.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is of course outdated. Teaching methods are old. No case studies, competitions or project of any sort is there in the curriculum. Although a project of 100 marks is there in the final sem, but I don't think that's enough. There is no practicality in the curriculum and usability in career. The syllabus really needs an uplifment.
