A great place to do M.Tech if you are doing job.

It is a great opportunity if somebody want to reinforce his,her career or enhance the qualification. But for building a new career it may not be such good.

The examination was conducted and followed by the interview conducted by University of Calcutta. First the examination was conducted for 100 marks with basic aptitudes, English and General Knowledge. I cleared it I do not know about the cutoff marks . Then, I was interviewed by a group of Professors. They asked me questions on basic subjects like Operating System,Networking and.

We do not have any internship program in our course. Rather I have done by final year project under the guidance of Dr. C. K. Bhattacharyya of Techno India (WBUT).

The main cultural event at our college is ALGORITHM that is annual fest. Other than there were always some nation or international conference and workshops are going on.

The semester fee is around Rs 28,000. It is affordable is somebody during a job with it. Otherwise it may be bit difficult. As I can remember in college premise there is a branch of Bank of Boroda where we used deposit the amount. Other than semester fee examination fees is extra although it is nominal. The difficult part was sometime the application forms were not availabe at college so we had to go to the main CU office at college street.

I do not have much idea about it. But loan facility definitely will be there because it is quite renowned in West Bengal.

As my course was a evening course there was not much campus life to enjoy rather the classes. In class it was good. But sometime we used to take part in the activities with the day's students. The activities were like workshop,conferences etc.

None of us stayed in Hostel but hostel facility was there. No idea about the mess food. The quality of food at college canteen was average.

As I know there is no official alumni site or network. We student maintain some group at Facebook. But the annual fest is a good place were the alumni usually meet.

Exams are semester wise. Normally we use to have 3 full papers per semester that is each paper consist of 2 sub papers. The exams used to 4 hours,2 for each sub papers and usually 3 labs. The duration wise the theory exams were hectic but good for somebody doing job.

In my college half of the teachers where very senior professors with long teaching and research experience in CU and another half were junior mostly they are research scholars but they where good at teaching.
