IIT Dharwad has been an exceptionally amazing journey of my life. I have had the best undergraduate course here, of my choice. I got in easily because my score in JEE Mains and Advanced, both was pretty sufficient. There was no specific interview or the written test required for admittance. All you have to do is pass the JEE Advanced exam and meet the cutoff.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course content is excellent, especially now that the Minors Program has been added. Academics are rather easy to handle. Students will feel at ease and find a limited number of courses intriguing. Overall, it's satisfactory. The institute is still growing in terms of faculty, with fresh and experienced professors being sought. They're good, and they're doing a wonderful job of helping the youngsters.
Placement Experience
Beginning in their seventh semester, students have the opportunity to be placed or serve as interns. The institute does not have the finest statistical standing, but it has a lot of room for improvement. The largest compensation provided for the 2019-2020 season was over 30 lakh, with an average of roughly 8-10 lakh. It is estimated that 70% of students will be placed. After receiving my bachelor's degree, my objectives were to pursue a master's degree immediately, and that's what I stuck to.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure can be a little higher than normal for some individuals. It might not be easily affordable, therefore scholarships are provided by the college. The annual fee structure for the whole course is 10.82 Lakhs. There are merit-based scholarship opportunities available. However, it's important to understand that it's just for students who come from a low-income home
Campus Life
Campus life is pleasant, with fewer individuals and groups from all around the country. There is a lot of greenery on campus, and there are a number of interesting locations to visit nearby. Given that this is a temporary campus, the infrastructure isn't ideal, but it's still manageable. IITDh offers a variety of clubs that are open to everyone. Many fascinating events take place by the societies and often a number of students gladly engage and have fun. The disadvantages are that because the population is smaller, the clubs aren't as large, but the coordination and communication between them is excellent.
