Remarks
I took admission in the year 2018, at that time the admission process was based upon the performance of SNUSAT (SNU's entrance exam). After which we were allotted branches based on our preference (depending upon the performance in SNUSAT). They released two cutoffs for us, some people got an upgrade in their branch preference once the second list was released. Once you opt to take admission, then the scholarship is offered based upon the CBSE class 12th score which waves of the tuition by different percentages based upon the scholarship band criterion. In all the admission process is quite simple, I don't think anyone would find it tough to go through it.
Course Curriculum Overview
I did my engineering in the field of electrical and electronics engineering (EEE), I opt for it at Snu because the department faculty here is very learned and experienced. The professors have in-depth knowledge of their subject along with the right teaching methods. But the only drawback for a mediocre performing student would be that the faculty expects you to keep learning day by day and be up to the mark, so if you are not able to put in the effort then you will lag and no one would push you to get going, you need to do it all by yourself. The exams here at SNU are mainly divided into quizzes, midterm, and end-term exams.
Internships Opportunities
The internship and the roles offered are very diverse. As the university is getting older year on year the campus placement, internships are improving. It depends upon you how hard you work to achieve those offers.
Placement Experience
The campus placement is good, the average package for engineers is usually ranging between the range of 7-8 lakhs with the highest package going up to 25lpa. A student is eligible to sit for campus placements from the 7th semester, proper training for the same is provided by the career development team.
Fees and Financial Aid
I would say amongst all the private universities, SNU has the best fees structure when it comes to providing scholarships and financial aid (depending upon your financial condition). It's solely on your CBSE merit, if you do well there you get a good scholarship. The on-campus jobs are also very good and benefit for those who are looking to put in some extra effort to earn some money.
Campus Life
The library and other amenities are very good and satisfactory. The books, journals, and research are always updated regularly. The campus life at SNU is very engaging. You can keep yourself busy after college hours very easily. There are various clubs and you can join as many as you want based on interest, schedule, and how much time you wanna devote to your extracurriculars along with your academics. Apart from that if you are a sports enthusiast then SNU is the place to be, the playing arena and facilities are simply amazing.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel as compared to other private universities is a bit on a lesser scale because unlike other private universities the washrooms here are common (divided floor & wing wise). This is the case for boys hostel and girls, there are separate towers in which 2-3 girls share one apartment. Coming to the mess, there are 3 messes and the quality of food is really good when you compare it with other universities. Both the buffet and ala carte options are available, the charges are deducted accordingly from your mess card based on your choice (the mess card is recharged monthly, and it depends on you how you spend it).
Other Applied Colleges
MUJ | EEE
There wasn't the option to do multidisciplinary courses.
