Entrance Preview

I had to appear for the College Entrance Exams based on the results of 12th Board and Joint Entrance Exams.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is of 3 years of Bachelor in Science Honors with 2 semester per year with practical exams in each semester. The exams are tough and the paper is 70-30 written and practical.

Internships Opportunities

There is no internship in this course though the college organizes various excursion to other colleges and zoological departments and it is a great experience. It is a good college for basic graduation course.

College Events

The Main event of the College is the Annual Function in which various celebrities are being called and it is a great fun. Other than that there are projects displays of various students and it is a good one and a tough competition of who gets the first prize.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feesable and the Colleges charges INR 8500 per semester that is in total 17000 per year and for three years it is about 17000 x 3 = 51000 and is a reasonable amount.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college offers scholarship / loan facility offered to the needy students but that I know of or have not availed any such facility.

1.The faculties of modern physics and computational physics were exceptional and in my opinion the best in the city. 2.Since i was more inclined towards modern physics i chose this particular college. 3.The curriculam prepares the students for higher studies like masters and doctorate. 4.The frequency and timing of exam coincided with calcutta university. 5.Areas of improvement-Better Equipment for Optics lab and more digital equipments.

Placement Experience:

Placements and job oppurtinities are less since this is an undergraduate college offwering honours degree. Though there is a placement and career councelling cell that looks over this matter. Placements are offered only in a few subjects, such as industrial chemisrty and computer science. The rate of placements are very high and come with high packages. Though I am not interested in placements, but I have started taking preparations for compititive exams. Such preparations are very supported here, rather than jobs and placements.

My college offers very minimal placement for the branches of chemistry. Few Chemical manufacturing companies of haldia visits our college for placement. The avarage package for placed students is around 240000 per year.so as l come from the economics department I have access to the internships form college.

Placement Experience:

Students get placement offers in the first year of M.Stat. In general, however, most students prefer to go abroad for higher studies. Students who sit for placements mostly get placed in Finance and Analytics companies, typically in Business Analyst, Risk Analyst and other roles. ISI has a 100% placement record for B.Stat- M.Stat students. Companies like Goldman Sachs, McKinsey & Co., JP Morgan & Chase, Amazon, etc. come for placements. All About SDBIC

The college is just beside the main road so no transportation problem. The faculties are good they help us pretty much. The campus is a bit small. Everybody is very good.
