IIIT Kalyani Review

IIIT Kalyani is one of the colleges in India that provides best in class IT education and the faculty of the college are well experienced in the field of IT that is why I opted for IIIT Kalyani and as well as the college also suits my budget. To be part of IIIT Kalyani one has to appear for the IIIT Kalyani entrance exam test followed by GD and PI round. The candidate must have secured 50% marks in their graduation program. IIIT Kalyani also provides best in class placement. The college is worth your money I can say that as I have also been received a good package and whatever I am today it's all because of my learning in IIIT Kalyani.

The curriculum of the college follows the latest industrial norms. The curriculum is designed to provide a solid foundation in the fundamentals of computer science and technology and to develop the skill set that is required to solve complex problems, faced by the industry in the 21st century. The curriculum helps you to study an in-depth number of applications of the IT industries, business and service sectors which helps the student in the job market.

After the completion of the first-year students are eligible for internships. The college placement cell provides you with all the basic information and guides you for the internships process. The education standard of the college is so good that most of the students receive pre-placement offers during their internship program. Companies like Wipro, Infosys, TCS, Oracle, visit the campus during the internship drive. It is not compulsory that you will receive any kind of stipend the stipend varies from company to company. I was able to complete my internship at Oracle and receive the stipend of Rs. 21000/- for my 5-weeks of the internship program.

The placement record of the college is very good the amount that you are investing in the college as a fee and placement you are receiving is just tremendous. The placement cell of the college is good and hardworking and they are able to attract good numbers of the company. During our time (2017-2019 batch) that college was able to attract 100+ companies for placement drive. Companies like Infosys, Wipro, MAQ Software, TCS, Capgemini, Smartpix, Quolum, Deloitte, etc are some of the top companies that visited the campus during the placement drive. The highest package for our batch went up to 15 LPA and the average package was 10 LPA. I was also able to secure a package of 12 LPA from Wipro.

The college also provides scholarships for merit and underprivileged students. I was not eligible for any kind of scholarship program so I have to pay my fee completely. The scholarship for SC/ST/PD students is also available. The college campus life is good and the seniors of the college are friendly and talkative. The Octoberfest organised in the month of October every year is one of the fests that students wait for. The library of the college is good and big and most of the students who are fond of reading will be in the library as the sitting arrangements in the library are very good and modern. The college also organizes sports competition between the different department of the college.

The rooms of the hostels are good enough. The rooms are available on a sharing basis. The rooms are shared by 3-4 students and for every student, there is a bed, study table, and an almirah. The food quality of the mess is good. The menu is very vast. The rooms are cleaned 4 times a week. All the basic facility is available for students in the hstels. The warden is friendly and the staff of the mess is cooperative.

The faculty of the college is friendly and well experienced. Most of the professors are of PhD level and have industrial exposure. The college faculty not only help student in their academic performance but also motivate us to take part in extra-curricular activities especially in sports as they believe that a healthy body keeps your brain healthy and active.
