Remarks

My college provides very good infrastructure with a very reputed faculty. It provides 100% placement to it's students in top hotel chains in india with a good salary package. The environment in ihm lucknow is very decent and our hostel is also quite good a s comparwd to other govt colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I had a very deep interest in managing a large group of people so i thought Hotel management as a career would give me this opportunity. And i was proved right. As a child I would always have a slight interest in being that one person who will manage a crowd of people and be in a fuss to do a 100 of things at one point of time. So here i am at this Institute. And also one of the reason for choosing this would also be it's dress code. We at ihm have to be very particular about our dress and how we are presenting ourselves. At first I used to get irritated like why I always have to be groomed why I have to look active even if I am not but with time you'll realize yourself that this is the job requirement and you have to abide by it.

Internships Opportunities

3

No till now I have not chosen any internship but in the future with the guidance if my seniors I would definitely look forward to it

Placement Experience

3.5

The best thing about my course is it's placement percentage. According to 2019 reports ihn lucknow offered a 100% placement record to it's students. Although I would not say we get a handsome packege of 10 lakhs or something. In the start we are paid less but surely we as a hotelier grow by our talent and skills and because of this our pay also boosts up. Covid was ofc a set back for everyone I myself would have not opted for this course in the covid times but now the situations are changing and as tourism is growing like before this industry will always give you food to eat.

College Events

4

The life at the campus is the best I could have ever experienced. I made a number of friends here which I can call best friends for life. The infrastructure hee is a typical govt college infrastructure which will include big rooms with some fans working some damaged but overall you'll live you life here with new friends and it will always be a significant part if your life

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is quite expensive as compared to other govt college . I'll say that but if we go deep inside this we'll realize the expertise this course gives us than it's worth it. Like if we'll do normal b. Com or b. Ba from any normal college they'll just provide you the advance knowledge of what you had learnt in your class 12th but when you'll do this hotel management course you'll learn new life skills like cooking and all and that would require a number of ingredients which required funding.

Campus Life

5

The best thing after faculty according to me is the college infrastructure. It's quite spacious over here and greenery adds to the beauty of the college. Maali bhaiya keeps very good care of the flowers which adds positivity in our life's. We at the hotel management course have 4 departments in broad the front office the food and beverage food production and house keeping. We have seperate rooms for all these core department and apart from this we have a big computer lab where we study about excel sheets and all

Hostel Facilities

4.5

I was given a hostel on merit basis.. The seats at the hostel were limited . The accommodation was quite affordable but the food was not. But when we leave our houses and come to a start our whole new world then we should nit expect everything according to us.. In the start one may face difficulty to set in this new environment but when you'll find people like you with that same vibe trust me you'll love this. The hostel room were a triple sharing in the last few years butin the covid times this triple sharing turned to double sharing .. The room is quite spacious. We're given a cupboard of our own also.

Admission

I had given my nchmct exam to get into top ihm. There was nothing like group discussion here but yes you have to face your seniors when you'll come to college and that was like a informal group discussion only

Course Curriculum Overview:

It covers the core subjects like programming languages (C, Java, Python basics), data structures, DBMS, networking, and web development, providing a basic foundation in computer applications. However, the curriculum may not be fully up to date with current industry trends like advanced Python, cloud computing, machine learning, or modern frameworks. In terms of comprehensiveness, it is suitable for beginners, but students aiming for competitive placements or tech roles will need to supplement it with online courses, certifications, or personal projects.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is more inclined towards a theoretical side and lacks practical exposure. In the present scenario, having practical knowledge is a must if you want to survive in the industry, which my college didn't prepare me for. However, there are various opportunities across the campus. We have AIC inside the campus, which may offer an internship to the students if they reach out to them.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements from the 3rd year. The placement of the college is decent. The average package for tech branches stands at 4-5 LPA. Most of the offers are made from mass recruiters like TCS, cognizant, etc. However, product-based companies also visit the campus but very few students get short-listed for them. The highest package for the 2025 batch was around 22 lakhs from JP morgan in which 2 students got placed. Microsoft also offered a package of 18 LPA. The placement percentage is around 50-60%. If you maintain 8+ CGPA and have the fundamentals clear then you can definitely secure a decent package from this college. The placement department of the college is supportive.
