Course Curriculum Overview

4

First year and the subjects taught in it are common for the branches in engineering. In semester 1, C and Python programming languages are taught. On the other hand, in semester 2, OOPS is introduced in which C++ is taught. From second year onwards the specilization subject is introduced. Overall the curriculum is similar to any other engineering college. It is a bit relevant to the industry standards. And from second year onwards it is inclined completely with respect to your core subject and specilization (if opted).

Internships Opportunities

3

Internship opportunities are there in the college but you can eligible for on campus interships only from the third year onwards. Though you can always opt for off campus internship. The stipend for various roles vary between 7,000 month to 50,000 month. But you have to work hord for securing interships in the campus.

Placement Experience

3

Students are eligible for placements from the 3rd year. The placement of the college is decent. The average package for tech branches stands at 4-5 LPA. Most of the offers are made from mass recruiters like TCS, cognizant, etc. However, product-based companies also visit the campus but very few students get short-listed for them. The highest package for the 2025 batch was around 22 lakhs from JP morgan in which 2 students got placed. Microsoft also offered a package of 18 LPA. The placement percentage is around 50-60%. If you maintain 8+ CGPA and have the fundamentals clear then you can definitely secure a decent package from this college. The placement department of the college is supportive.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fee for the course of BTech Computer Science is 3,21,000 while for specilizations it is 2,21,000 including the caution money for the first year. The security deposit and co-curricular fee for the first year of the course is 11,000. The hostel fee is 1,35,000 for the non-ac double-sharing hostel. Triple-sharing rooms are also available. The cost for a hostel is 2,00,000. A mess fee is included in this. Laundry and gym facilities are also available. The laundry fee for one year is 6,000 and there are 2 gym options one for 5,000 and one for 20,000 annually.

Campus Life

3

The college organizes multiple fests. It has a cultural fest called "Rubaroo" which is organized in late March or starting of April every year. Celebrity guests are called for the event. Moreover, there are many tech and non-tech clubs in the college. Hackathons and other events keep on happening either in online or offline mode. Students can also start their own club by pitching the officials. Sports facilities are decent on the campus. The college encourages students to participate in extracurricular activities. The campus life is decent but there are a few restrictions. If they are removed then the campus life would be excellent.

Hostel Facilities

4

All the rooms in the hostels are with attached bathrooms which is a nice thing. You can opt for ac two and three seater rooms. Same goes for non ac rooms as well. Howeverk, there is no option for single occupancy in the hostels. All the girls hostel rooms are triple seater. You can book the hostel both in online and offline mode. And you can also find multiple PG just opposite to the campus. The food quality is decent however the menu is fixed and there is no provision for special meals on special occasions. You are provided with bed, study table, and chair in the rooms.

Admission

Students have to apply through the SRMJEEE exam for admission to SRMIST, Delhi-NCR (Ghaziabad) campus. You should opt for this campus if you are not getting admission to its main campus (KTR). You can get admission in this campus even at a higher rank in the SRMJEEE exam.

Faculty

4

The faculty-to-student ratio is good. Maximum class size is 65 only that makes it very easy for students to approach the teachers during the lectures itself. Also, they give individual attention to each student during the classes. Most of faculties are interactive during the classes. Most of faculties are PhD holders and specialized in their subjects. They are well experienced. Also, they can be approached after the classes as well. The college conducts three internal exams and the main semester exams each semester. The internals are conducted almost every month. The sem exam is held at the end of each semester. The internal exam weightage is 60% while the semester exam weightage is 40%. The difficulty level of the exam is mediocre both for internals and semester. Most of the questions in the sem exam are repetitive from the previous semester's exam question papers.

Night Life

2

There are two gyms in the campus. Anyone from any year can opt for these gymd though there are separate timings for each year students. There are total three canteens in the campus and two cafeterias in the hostel of G and D block. The canteens are open from monday to saturday till 6 PM in the evening. However the cafes are open till late in the night and you can place your order during that time. There are two hostels for first year boys that are G and D block. However 2nd and 3rd year students live together in the senior H block Hostel. There are 2 hostels for girls as well. There are a few hangout spots in the college near the main playground and the basketball court. There isn't mcuh near the campus to explore though there are few shops around the shops where you can find everyday essentials. The hostel in timings for outing is 7:30 in evening which is same for both boys and girls. However, the college doesn't have a night life as the students can't roam in the campus after 7:30 pm

Our campus placements are somewhat tidy as it has hints of brilliance too. One can get really good placements here but one has to be sure for that and that surity is provided by good training. Placements execution is brilliant by JIIT Noida by setting up industries requirements. Thus 70 percent CSE students gets placed every year at JIIT Noida.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Jims is a ipu college, so yeah curriculum depends entirely on ipu University. First year is similar for all btech courses. Or is easy to earn marks in lab and soft skill subjects but maths or physics is hard. Your 12th basics should be very good, else these two subjects will affect your overall SGPA badly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course structure is good of btech but there there is only thing I don't like is that in btech course the subjects in first year are not related to career of students because there is physics, chemistry other irrelevant subjects present in first year but in second year the course become interesting and relevant. Curriculum is good and prepare well for real world applications. The exams comes frequently every month there is a class test but class tests are moderate on the basis of there difficulty level.

The students are eligible for placements in the final year. The college offers basic placement training and assistance. Some local and local-level comanies even visit for campus recruitment with average offers. Average package: 2-4 LPA, highest around 9-10 LPA 60-90 percent students get placed. My plan is to develop my skills and attain a good job or go for higher studies after degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Honestly speaking I don't like the curriculum of my college. Everything is same which people studied 20 years ago . Only few things has been changed and I don't understand why we need to study about things which don't have any existence in reality. They should focus on current tech and provide more learning opportunities in AI.
