- The infrastacture of the college is decent. All the neccessitites and basic ammenities are available in the campus.
- Teaching quality is good. Teachers are experienced and they give individual attention during the classes.
- Hostels are also fine. All type of options are available for the hostel occupancy and facilities.
Dislikes
- Campus size is not that big. It is around 22 acres only.
- Restrictions are there inside the college campus. Hostelers cannot walk around the campus after 7:30 in the evening. They need to be in their respective hostels after that.
- College crowd is mediocre. Though you can still find like minded people.
Course Curriculum Overview
First year and the subjects taught in it are common for the branches in engineering. In semester 1, C and Python programming languages are taught. On the other hand, in semester 2, OOPS is introduced in which C++ is taught. From second year onwards the specilization subject is introduced. Overall the curriculum is similar to any other engineering college. It is a bit relevant to the industry standards. And from second year onwards it is inclined completely with respect to your core subject and specilization (if opted).
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities are there in the college but you can eligible for on campus interships only from the third year onwards. Though you can always opt for off campus internship. The stipend for various roles vary between 7,000 month to 50,000 month. But you have to work hord for securing interships in the campus.
Placement Experience
Students are eligible for placements from the 3rd year. The placement of the college is decent. The average package for tech branches stands at 4-5 LPA. Most of the offers are made from mass recruiters like TCS, cognizant, etc. However, product-based companies also visit the campus but very few students get short-listed for them. The highest package for the 2025 batch was around 22 lakhs from JP morgan in which 2 students got placed. Microsoft also offered a package of 18 LPA. The placement percentage is around 50-60%. If you maintain 8+ CGPA and have the fundamentals clear then you can definitely secure a decent package from this college. The placement department of the college is supportive.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total fee for the course of BTech Computer Science is 3,21,000 while for specilizations it is 2,21,000 including the caution money for the first year. The security deposit and co-curricular fee for the first year of the course is 11,000. The hostel fee is 1,35,000 for the non-ac double-sharing hostel. Triple-sharing rooms are also available. The cost for a hostel is 2,00,000. A mess fee is included in this. Laundry and gym facilities are also available. The laundry fee for one year is 6,000 and there are 2 gym options one for 5,000 and one for 20,000 annually.
Campus Life
The college organizes multiple fests. It has a cultural fest called "Rubaroo" which is organized in late March or starting of April every year. Celebrity guests are called for the event. Moreover, there are many tech and non-tech clubs in the college. Hackathons and other events keep on happening either in online or offline mode. Students can also start their own club by pitching the officials. Sports facilities are decent on the campus. The college encourages students to participate in extracurricular activities. The campus life is decent but there are a few restrictions. If they are removed then the campus life would be excellent.
Hostel Facilities
All the rooms in the hostels are with attached bathrooms which is a nice thing. You can opt for ac two and three seater rooms. Same goes for non ac rooms as well. Howeverk, there is no option for single occupancy in the hostels. All the girls hostel rooms are triple seater. You can book the hostel both in online and offline mode. And you can also find multiple PG just opposite to the campus. The food quality is decent however the menu is fixed and there is no provision for special meals on special occasions. You are provided with bed, study table, and chair in the rooms.
Admission
Students have to apply through the SRMJEEE exam for admission to SRMIST, Delhi-NCR (Ghaziabad) campus. You should opt for this campus if you are not getting admission to its main campus (KTR). You can get admission in this campus even at a higher rank in the SRMJEEE exam.
Faculty
The faculty-to-student ratio is good. Maximum class size is 65 only that makes it very easy for students to approach the teachers during the lectures itself. Also, they give individual attention to each student during the classes. Most of faculties are interactive during the classes. Most of faculties are PhD holders and specialized in their subjects. They are well experienced. Also, they can be approached after the classes as well. The college conducts three internal exams and the main semester exams each semester. The internals are conducted almost every month. The sem exam is held at the end of each semester. The internal exam weightage is 60% while the semester exam weightage is 40%. The difficulty level of the exam is mediocre both for internals and semester. Most of the questions in the sem exam are repetitive from the previous semester's exam question papers.
Night Life
There are two gyms in the campus. Anyone from any year can opt for these gymd though there are separate timings for each year students. There are total three canteens in the campus and two cafeterias in the hostel of G and D block. The canteens are open from monday to saturday till 6 PM in the evening. However the cafes are open till late in the night and you can place your order during that time. There are two hostels for first year boys that are G and D block. However 2nd and 3rd year students live together in the senior H block Hostel. There are 2 hostels for girls as well. There are a few hangout spots in the college near the main playground and the basketball court. There isn't mcuh near the campus to explore though there are few shops around the shops where you can find everyday essentials. The hostel in timings for outing is 7:30 in evening which is same for both boys and girls. However, the college doesn't have a night life as the students can't roam in the campus after 7:30 pm
