Remarks

I opted for this college as I had low score in jee mains and among private college it was the only one I had given entrance. If given the chance now I would not choose it as in terms education it is a big zero. In terms of placement, they do call companies but the number of students they take is in thousands so limited options with you. You are not allowed to sit for multiple job offers if you have one and unless the other company is offering more than 2x.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course syllabus is poor being an autonomous University you can have subjects of your own other than compulsory subjects from UGC. Some industry ready subjects like IOT, data analytics are added in 4th year when already you are planning for placements. Faculties except 2 in my whole 4 year college all were book worms they would just read there notes and go away. Labs were poor with only purpose is to give assignments and get over with it. No practical experience. Arup sarkar, Manoj hota were two teachers who were talented.

Internships Opportunities

Bosch, 15000 stipend

Placement Experience

2.5

Compared to the number of students present in the campus the companies are very less. Very few placements for mechanical and civil. You can sit in multiple jobs if you have one unless the next company comes with a 2x offer compared to what you have. Prior to placements there is placement mock training for coding and English. English and aptitude was useful but coding was useless as it is skill that need to be developed from 1st year. Companies like amazon, SAP, Bosch, Deloitte come to the campus but don't just go with the names, the competition is hell among 6000 students for 200 odd jobs in such companies.

College Events

2.5

KIIT FEST an annual event was good. They get many celebrities there yeah but one of the tactics for promotion. Other than that there were very few active clubs but yes I heard it is better now. The one things lagging still is the environment of coding from first year.

Campus Life

Infrastructure is good. Sports center, activity center are there. But yes it is not enough for the crowd of students present there. You will have to fight for existence for getting recognise for sports or cultural events.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are good. We were 3 students in one room which was of decent size at school of computer engineering. Campus was 30 steps from hostle for boys. Library was good with AC near to boys hostel open whole night for boys not for girls. Girls can use the reading room in there hostle.

Course Curriculum Overview:

those course curricullams at central university of odisha is thought fully designed ,offering a balanced blend of theoretical depth and practical relevance. on eof the key reason why students opt for such courses like int mathmatiss is the seamless academic progression and strong foundation it provides for research and comprdative exams. that curricullum could be more better as it can be more practical. what we are studing is like 80% theory and just 20% practical. so i do think that could be more better. the quality needs to be improved.

Placement Experience:

As Rourkela is a tier 3 city the placement opportunities are no as much as the tier 1 cities but the college still provides placements oppertunities with a decent amount of starting package of 4LPA.The college brings alot of companies for job and intership through it's long and good establishment in the city. The students becomes eligible for campus placement from 5th semester onwards as they have enough projects. Infosys, Capgemini,Dalmia, etc companies visited and highest package was 4.5 Lpa and average was 4lpa with 2 lpa as the lowest. Getting a MCA degree afterwards is most preferable for getting a better job.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is well organized by the authorities based on the latest medical aspect of our society. Practical classes and regular postings in hospital helps in better understanding. Being the only hospital in nearby cities, our hospital provides us a good exposure to varity of cases. Our Associate proff and HODs also look upto them and help us gain more real world experience. The best aspect of this field or if I have to say Why have I chose it is to serve the society. Absence of well qualified doc at the times of emergency is one of the leading causes of mortality in developing countried like India. Being in this profession, I just want to help people around me.
