The Indian Institute of Management (IIMB) is the country's most prestigious management school among all the IIM. The IIMB is in a prime position. IIMB, offers a 100% guarantee, the pay packages are significantly superior to those offered by other management schools. The only qualifications are a graduate degree and a decent CAT/ GMAT score. Admission is contingent on the submission of valid CAT results. The following round is a PI- WAT round. Candidates for international students must additionally have a GMAT score that is current.
Course Curriculum Overview
The college offerers MBA students with experienced Professors, the best learning experience and student driven campus ground. The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Bangalore is one of Asia's top graduate management institutions. It was founded in 1973 and annually admits around 1,200 students into a variety of programmes. It is the first Indian Management B-school in the Worldwide Network for Advanced Management, a Yale-founded network of 32 top-tier global B-schools. IIM Bangalore was placed 2 among the top 100 B-schools in India in the recently announced NIRF 2020 report. It is located on Bannerghatta Road in Bengaluru, close to some of the country's most prestigious business companies. The Faculty student ratio is around 1:2. Coming to the course curriculum, the end term exams are more practical based rather than theoretical.
Internships Opportunities
The summer placement drive was made by top-notch companies including Axis Bank, Bajaj Finserv, Barclays, Bridgestone, Dalmia, Castrol, Citi Bank, Deloitte, KPMG, ICICI Bank, Accenture Strategy, P&G, Amazon, amongst others with top notch live projects. Various role lie gen. manaagement, marketing, consulting were offered.
Placement Experience
The 1st year students are eligible for internhip and 2nd year student are elgible for final placements. The average salary was 24.54 LPA for domestic area, Accenture, Bain & Company, Alvarez & Marsal, Arthur D. Little, IBM Consulting, Microsoft, Browserstack, Ola etc. were some prominent recruiters. they have record of 100 percent placement.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are quite high, however, there are various scholarships which one can go for. Scholarships like the Bayer scholarships offer financial help. There are other scholarships as well for government officials. So for those whose parents are government officials can avail themselves of it. There are reservation benefits as well. The stipend given in the internship is quite good and the average ranges between 2-3 lakh/month.
Campus Life
Being the corporate hub of India, the institute is specialized with great faculties and offers management programs in various specializations. The institute has many pros like student-driven campus, awesome alumni network, amazing management members, etc There is a beautiful ground for different sports activities and other fests. There is a cell for cultural activities containing all the clubs for dance, music, dramatics etc. The institute also organizes various seminars and workshops in the evening sessions which add real industry experience.
Interview Experience
The CAT is held once a year in November, and those who pass the cutoff are shortlisted based on the quality of the applicant's profile. Then there are 2 processes: The Written Ability Test (WAT) asks candidates to respond to a question about general concerns over the course of 30 minutes, on average. The Personal Interview (PI) follows, in which the interviewers (in my case, three) examine our listening, speaking, and critical thinking skills while evaluating our profiles. The best performers are allowed to apply after examining all of the criteria, including previous scores, academic and career achievements, and scores in the aforementioned rounds. These are quite easy to prepare as so many youtube videos and links are available on google itself.
