Remarks
The brand value of an IIM is what everyone aspire to have. Moreover, the scenic beauty of Kashipur which is located on the foothills of Himalaya is a major contributor to my decision. The kind of placements that Kashipur offer is above average and the Return on Investment is decent.
Course Curriculum Overview
Faculty to student ratio is around 1:10, which is pretty good. The teaching staff are all well qualified. There are total 6 terms in two years. Every term consists of one mid term and one end term exam.
Internships Opportunities
All the students get at least one internship opportunity from college. There are few students who get more than one internship opportunities. Almost 20% of the total students get PPO offers post completion of internship.
Placement Experience
The placement opportunity is decent. IIM Kashipur gets visited by almost 100 companies yearly, which offers placements in diverse fields and domains. Last year, number of job offers made were more than the number of eligible students. Most job offers were in the field of Marketing and Analytics.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees gets hiked 10% on average yearly. There are several scholarships available for students. There are financial assistances as well. You get decent job from placement which ranges from 10 lakh to 20 lakh.
Campus Life
The life at campus is great. We get to explore a lot. There are more than 40 student bodies. Since it is a student run campus, so the students get a holistic environment to learn, grow and implement things. There is one annual sports cultural management fest that takes place at the campus.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel rooms are very aesthetic. There are total 6 hostel blocks with 4 floors and 6 rooms on each floor. The rooms are equipped with beds, tables, chairs, cupboards, moreover there are microwave ovens, washing machine in the common area. There is a student run mess which takes care of the food of the students. Moreover there are 2 paid canteens.
Admission
Firstly, we need to clear CAT. We need to ensure that we not only clear the overall cut off, but also sectional cut offs. After clearing CAT, we get shortlisted for WAT and PI rounds. I took up coaching from IMS to prepare for these two rounds.
