Remarks

Because it had a nice reputation and the campus is way too huge, the teachers are professional, many events are being organised during the winter days, celebrity guests are been invited such as Sushant Singh rajput and many others

Course Curriculum Overview

They're well organised, the syllabus is decided by the government so the college just has to follow to instructions, there are viva sessions, debate sessions, presentation sessions and many more to it

Class Size: 150Course Fees: INR 10000 per year

Internships Opportunities

I went under an intership of almost 15 days and my company was an corporate event based company where in we use to organise events for the starts ups and others for the sales and corporate conference

Placement Experience

Good, college does organise placement events for students who has scored good marks in the semester, the interview is been taken in the college itself. And many companies such as Capgemini, Crompton, knight Frank participate

College Events

Campus Life was indeed fun and joyful. There are many dramatic seatings arrangements made in the campus for eg one seating which looks like watermelon and many others are made like a dome so that group study can be done

Fees and Financial Aid

Not really I didn't opted for any loan facility, but I have heard about students loan which can be availed in case students are falling short of money, many of friends has availed this and you can repay loan once you get a job

Campus Life

We almost have 6 campus which belongs to various faculties of Somaiya but students from every faculty can hung out there and there must be around 9 canteens including the maggie house, juice centre, simsr canteen, management canteen, Aurobindo canteen, engineering canteen etc

Hostel Facilities

No I didn't opted for hostel, use to go from my home to the college, but I had few friends who did opted for hostel, infrastructure if hosted it beautiful and there are different sections for girls and boys

Hostel Fee: INR 60000 per year

DY Patil college is best for placement and coding environment

Placement Experience:

The placement is good in Y Patil College. Many companies are come for hiring a student. Most of students are placed in fourth year from fourth year. The companies are started to come in campus and higher students. Also, in a third year, Student want to get internship in any companies from campus and from outside of the campus internship is compulsory in third year last semester The company are come in my college are Amazon Google infosys Microsoft WIpro and other companies hire students The highest package of last year of AI and DS department is a 42 lakh higher by Amazon is the highest package of the last year placement. Also, the average packages are six lakh. The percentage of getting Student place in companies are nearly 92%

The college is best for placement and club activity

Placement Experience:

In my branch, the placement is good In 2025, 150 students are placed in Wipro, infosys, Amazon and Google like companies the minimum package is seven lakh. Also in my branch one Student it is placed in Amazon with 47 lakh rupees package in college. They already prepare Student for interviews and aptitude test. The placement cell is conduct aptitude test with the Google for students for each semester in that they test our coding skills, English skills and attitude test from that they give us a detail information in which skills are lacking and on which skill we want to work

Course Curriculum Overview:

Strong academic legacy with expereinced faculties and balanced content- preparing you for future studies and entrance exams and olympiads. very much strict, i would say not needed. somehwere you may experience baised behaviour; but when you are focused on gaining knowledge then these things dont matter as its only a matter of three years. Relevance of course is there but for applying for further studies not for that much for job prospects, if you want atleast a decent salary job.

Companies that often visit campus for placement include ONGC, GAIL, IGL, IOCL, NRL, SAIL, Hindalco, Carin oil and gas, Reliance, Vedanta, Tata Power, Nyara, Tata projects and many more oil and gas industries, metal industries. The highest package: is 24 lpa ( given by ONGC) and the average package: is 13 lpa for Fire and safety profiles. Usually, all students get placed in the placement drive. I will do the job in the company I got placed in.

Placement Experience:

I have rarely seen companies coming to our college for placement purposes for our course but I have seen companies coming for BCOM and BCA. I don't know about my course as I am currently in my second year. The percentage of students getting placements are veryess as my friend from third year said that out of 150 students only 10 students got placed this year which is very less compared to other colleges. My plans after getting the degree is if I got a job in any of the it company I will do it for experience and side by side I am planning to pursue my education in MSC CS

I applied to KJ and Rizvi as well and got confirmation from Rizvi, but after comparing it with SK Somaiya in aspects such as sports and curriculam, SK Somaiya was the best fit for me. I did get rejected in KJ Somaiya because of my marks in 10th, KJ is known to have the highest cut-offs. The admission process is centralised and is done on the basis of merit and seat available. So basically I wanted to join somaiya Vidyavihar only it was a dream college for me and the process was like we have to apply or registered online on their portal then you all have to wait for the merit list if your name is there they then you will get a mail for the admission process where you will get an so my as mail id which is for educational purpose or any details or any information about the college or about the campus the svv net ID portal which will be provided in the mail from there you have to fill the form and you have to pay the fees online offline is not allowed like everything you have to pay online and after that when you will go to the college you have to collect your ID's before that you have to take appointment in that portal only in the ID Card section and then you will get an ID from the college campus...Read More
