Remarks

Quality of the faculty and facilities of research labs in the college.I got admission through CCMT National spot round. Applied around May 2019 and the process completed by July 2019. And the class started by Aug 2019.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose Energy Engineering and management, because this course provides good thermal engineering and fluid aspects. Faculties are very knowledgeable and experienced in their field. For each subjects one term exam will be conducted and then final semester exam, the term exam is for 30 marks and 20 marks assignment and remaining 50 marks will be evaluated by final semester exam. Exam level will be moderate to difficult depends upon the faculty.

Class Size: 18Course Fees: INR 160000 per year

Placement Experience

Placement for my course is almost nil. But students are developed in research perceptive and many students got PhD admission in IIT and IISc. Non core companies like TCS, federal bank, bridgei2i visited.

Fee Structure And Facilities

If got admission through GATE monthly stipend of 12400 will be GIVEN, which will be sufficient to pay semester fees and hostel charges. Placement are less due to covid, but many IT companies and bank companies will come.

Tathva technical fest will be conducted annually in the month of November. Ragam cultural festival will be conducted in the month of March. Classroom have projector and wifi facilities are available in each class.

from semister 6 students become eligible for campus placements and companies loke bank of america , google microsoft etc visited for campus placements and the highest package is about 54 lakhs where as average is 11 lakhs and about 98% of the students are placed

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college.
