Entrance Preview

I took Mumbai PET entrance exam, After being awarded academic and administrative autonomy in 2004, VJTI became operational under the administration of a Board of Governors.

Course Curriculum Overview

VJTI has been extremely good. The course covers subjects across various fields, including Networking and Java, Applied Physics, Applied chemistry, applied mathematics, Mechanics, Engineering Drawing, Computer networks, Micro processors, advanced computer networks and more.

Internships Opportunities

I am not aware of the Internship part in VJTI as I never tried for the same. I did read that VJTI may give about 15000 to 20000 as stipend in internship.

Placement Experience

More that 90% of the students in my batch were placed. Companies like Accenture and TCS visit the campus and recruit students in bulk, like 100s of them. Then dream companies like Google, Microsoft also visit the campus and recruit the eligible candidates. There are also mid level companies like Amdocs, Nomura etc that came for placement.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

JRD Tata scholarship is one of the most popular scholarships being offered to all bright students, i.e. students who are among the top ones. I did avail this scholarship in my 2nd and 3rd year of engineering. This did not cover the entire fee, but around 30 to 50% of it.

Exam Structure

There were 2 semesters per year. We had final exams in both the semesters. In addition to these, we had regular lab experiments throughout the year. At the end of each semester ,we were to submit our journals with findings and results of each experiment. There was also a viva along with this submission.

Good at everything

Course Curriculum Overview:

They are scheduled the exams late sometimes which is not good for students because after that we don't have time to study like they give us the time of 1 month to study for semister exam and before the month is the internal exam that's why we didn't get the time for study for the semester exam

All the fourth semester subject are not so connected in different semesters we learn different subject ,I personally think that improvement in the course curriculum and teaching method should be improve and their should be a connectivity or a fluency in the course. Placement Experience:

Placements are provided by the college. You can apply for the interview as per your choice of school when the school come into the college. I planning to pursue a Master's degree in Economics as one of my pedagogy subjects is economics but I am not eligible to teach as I have no master's degree.

VJTI is a treasure!!

I was in top 1000 in CET ranking and VJTI is among the top ranked so it was obvious. Of course BITS Pilani and IITs were my dream but ofcourse I couldn't make it ther. Overall,VJTI college is the best in India

The quality of infrastructure is good but must have to be maintained.The quality of teaching is best because of experienced faculty. There is an internet lab which provide free access of internet to students and have huge library VJTI is known for its teachers and industry-oriented teaching.There is no doubt that the faculty and course curriculum are the best in Mumbai,which will compete with IITs.As the teachers are from the same college,they know what the students and companies need.
