Remarks

Being a government college, the management is too sluggish and inefficient. Work is carried out at slow pace. Though things have improved with arrival of new director. But still it needs to be further improved

Entrance Preview

I appeared for AIEEE in 2012, got a rank of 17000 and took admission at NSIT. I was concerned about brand name and placement opportunities. NSIT provided me both. I got admitted through counselling procedure of NSIT

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

MPAE is a specialization course related to mechanical domain with special emphasis on automation. The subjects taught ranges from robotics artificial intelligence, industrial control, power electronics, electrical drives, transducers to core manufacturing and machine theory. This course is industry oriented with vast amount of career options.Even if person is not interested in this domain, he can go for analytics job or coding domain.

Internships Opportunities

Yes. The internship opportunities at NSIT is great. But the catch is, you are from CS/IT. Major recruiters like qualcomm, amazon, deloitte, microsoft, etc come to offer internship oppurtunities. They pay hefty stipend and you even have a chance to land a ppo. All depends on your caliber and subject insights. For other branches, some start up come to provide internship n marketing and analytics.

Placement Experience

5

Placement is USP of NSIT. IT and CS guys are given hefty packages. Companies like google yahoo cisco microsoft qualcomm offer jobs to CS/IT. Electronics core companies are less but still landmark companies like texas instruments and free scale hire these guys. MPAE and ICE also get placed in companies like vedanta, IGL, delloite, maruti, tata motors, honda, etc. There are many nontech like pwc, EXL, evalueserve, future first, exponential, indus insights, grofers, etc. open for all branches. Major attractions are JP Morgan, Boston Consuntancy group and Mckiensey

College Events

4

There are various fests and events organised at NSIT. Moksha is the main annual cultural fest. It has all major events like battle of bands, stand up comedy, dance competition, star night and kavisammelan. Innovison is the annual tech fest. Other events includes resonanz, colloquium, etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees is quite affordable in respect to other engineer colleges. I paid 59000 as tuition fee annually and 36000 as annual fee. Now it has increased to approximately 90000 annual tuition fee. But still it is within the reach in contrast to other colleges in delhi ncr.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is scholarships for students who rank in top 25 percent across branch. There is no fee support from college side. You can take personal loans to fund your education.

Campus Life

4

This part of NSIT is quite exquisite. There are many societies that organise various competitions and program. Gender ratio is low. Males being dominant in campus. There are societies like DEBSOC, MOTORSPORTS, ASWAMEDHA, Finance society etc. where students can actively participate to hone their skills.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel facilities are not upto the mark. Mess food is unsatisfactory. There are special dinners few times in a year. But regular food served is not worthy to eat. There is no LAN facilities or WiFi from college side.Residential facilities are not efficient at NSIT. But fees for mess and hostel is bearable.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network of NSIT is quite strong. Seniors have spread across various domains who can help you out in future. You can connect with them at almaconnect. They regularly posts job opening at their company. They also give you referrals and help you in every possible way.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is quite systematic. There is one mid semester and one end semester exam. The labs depend on faculty. Many a times its chilled out, other times its hectic. The curriculum is rigorous and tests you in depth. 65 percent is generally cutoff for mpae and 70 percent for others.

Faculty

4

Faculties vary in their subject knowledge and efficacy to deliver pedagogy to students. Some of faculty features among best across country while some are lethargic to even come to class frequently. But most of the faculties are upto the mark. The have deep industry experience and subject knowledge. The chance to do project under them can enhance your career prospects. Letter Of Recommendation from eminent professors are vital for your post graduation in foreign university.

Placements are good especially during recession. You're eligible for placements after 3rd year. After 2nd Year you're eligible for Internships. All Big Companies like Google Microsoft Apple Goldmansachs Mckinsey etc. Highest package offered till now in 2025 is 85LPA (Atlassian) Average of CSE is 17 -18 lpa . almost 53% people get placed in 2025 (recession time). See The degree OF DTU has its value. So it gives you an edge while you go for off campus.

The placement rate here is around 70-75% on an avg in all branches and sometimes even higher. After 1st year only , multiple opportunities starts coming . After 1st year and before 2nd year , basically in summer vacation we have to do a compulsory internship (college also provides) and we are provided a credit for that . Then multiple opportunities like GOOGLE STEP ,amacon internship , etc come.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The university doesn't beat around the bush while deciding the courses. They have picked only the subjects and the curriculum that are suitable for our field and focus on making us future-ready. Some subjects might seem a little fast-paced, but if you are consistent enough, you won't face any problems. It is safe to say that the exams and things taught in most the subjects are same to that of its so there is no lacking behind in that aspect.
